Rival Gaming Slots: Reviews with Demo Games

History

The appearance of Rival Gaming happened back in 2005, and at the time they started by launching multiple white-label casinos, which managed to grow in size quickly. The developer has worked a lot on its collection of games, the focus being on slot machines, and they released new content at a fast pace.

The owner of Rival Gaming software is a company called Black Chip Ltd, which is based in Cyprus. They’ve often made their content available to US casinos in the past, which helped them grow since they were one of the few that did this.

Rival Casino Games Highlights

Rival currently lists on their site that they have a total of 200+ casino games to offer. Based on what we know, around 110 of those are just slot machines. The Table Games category has only 10 titles in it, including Casino Battle, Red Dog, Pai Gow, Ride Em Poker, European Roulette, American Roulette, Craps, Blackjack, Baccarat and Multi-Hand Blackjack. Moving on to Video Poker, you will discover 7 games there, including Jacks or Better, Double Joker, and Deuces Wild. The Specialty category has about a dozen games in it, including scratch cards, Keno, Sudoku, and Bingo.

There is one more category that is worth mentioning, the one called Mobile. They seem to have started offering mobile content quite late, only since 2014, so right now they have 100 games in this category, so less than 60% of their content works on phones and tablets. Most are slot machines, quite a few of them with 3 reels, but there are also some table games and specialty content in there.

The Slots get three different categories, including here the 3 Reel, 5 Reel, and the Progressive. There are about 40 3-reel Rival slots, games that look a lot better than the regular classic slots. Themes for these slot games include tropical islands, the Netherlands, winter, football, flea markets, and farms, among many others.

The most populated category would be the one holding the 5-reel slots. Whether you’re playing a game like Diamond Rhino Jackpot, Smoking Gun, Mighty Aphrodite, or Cleopatra Coins, there are new games added here regularly, and the quality is especially nice lately.

A lot of attention is being given to their Progressive Slots, where you’re going to find the slot machines that offer live-changing jackpots for players. The best content that Rival Gaming has to offer is part of this collection. There is a series called Here, along with other slots like Money Magic, Strike Gold, and Jackpot 5x Wins. The developer has created 6 progressive slots so far.

Graphics

Though most of Rival Gaming demo slots are playable and you can see that they worked hard on them, they don’t often manage to release slot machines that would impress someone who has seen what companies like NetEnt or Games Global can design. Even when you look at their I-Slots series of slots, you’re going to notice titles like Hole in Won, which just look dated. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give them a shot though, they’re certainly not ugly games.

Features

If you’re looking for a simpler set of features, then you should go with the slots from the 3-reel category. The ones with more features are obviously the titles belonging to 5-reels and I-Slots. You will get from Rival slots a pretty good variety of features, from bonus games, to scatters, wilds (regular, stacked or expanding, with multipliers or simple, etc) and free spins. The features can get especially interesting when they’re coming from the I-Slots.

Rival Slots RTP and Payouts

The obvious first choice would be to go for one of the slot machines that have a progressive jackpot, but there are only five of them available. The fixed payouts vary, from one game to the next, so you might get 1,000x the line bet from one slot, and 10,000x in another.

The average RTP is not as high as in other modern video slots, and the most common range seems to be from 92% to 95%, while a lot of other companies stay closer to 96%, and so they’re more profitable.
