Pragmatic Play was founded in Malta, a jurisdiction from the European Union, back in 2015. The company has grown significantly over the course of the last decade, and right now has over 100 table games, live dealer games, slots and other types of titles in collection. They’ve also managed to grow to a size where they have over 250 people employed, in countries from all over the world. Company seem to be doing very well for themselves, and I expect to continue growing at the same rate in the future. They’ve been acquired in 2016, by IBID Group.
Pragmatic Play Casino Games
Considering that the company has about 6 years since it was founded, the fact that they offer 120+ games is pretty good. As many others do, the biggest focus of the company is on the online slots, the category of games that has the most titles to offer. The other four categories that are listed on the site include Live Games (with live blackjack and roulette) Classic Slots, Table Games, Video Poker and Bingo.
For the Classic Slots category, there are only four titles available, but on average they’re miles ahead of the majority of the 3 reel games that you’re going to find on the market right now. These four games are called Diamonds are Forever, 888 Dragons, 888 Gold and Irish Charms. They don’t have very exciting themes, but most of them are not focused on the classic icons at least.
They’ve started designing their collection of Table Games as well, including three titles in this category for now. They will give you a chance to experience their idea of a game of Baccarat, of Multihand Blackjack or of Roulette Crystal.
The Video Poker category holds a single game for now, but I’m sure they have plans to expand it further. The game that they started with is the one called Jacks of Better.
Finally, there is also a category called Other Games, where the only two titles available are called Keno and Go! Monkey.
I’ve left the most consistent category of all for last. Pragmatic Play Slots collection is one where you’re going to discover most of the 150+ titles. Just like their other games, they’re designed in HTML5, which makes them all accessible on mobile devices, on Mac or PC, and all this directly from the browser. They seem to be focused quite heavily on China and on other common themes, but I’ve discovered some interesting ideas among those themes as well. Besides titles like 8 Dragons, Caishen’s Gold or Queen of Gold, there are also more interesting slots like The Hand of Midas, Doghouse Megaways, Mighty Kong and The Catfather (I and II).
Companies that get their start in the online market seem to have an advantage over those that make the switch from the land based side of the casino business. It’s certainly the case with Pragmatic Play, a developer whose online slots I found quite enticing. No matter what game of theirs I looked at, I enjoyed the design, and that says a lot about what you can expect from them. Some of my favorites, in terms of visuals were slots like Gates of Olympus and Congo Cash slots.
I’ve noticed that the majority of the games from Pragmatic Play will have three types of features to offer, though they’re going to be the usual ones that most modern slots have. The most common mix of features will include a wild, a scatter symbol and a bonus symbol. The last two I mentioned will typically bring free spins and a bonus game, respectively. There are other options as well, sometimes without the bonus game, but maybe with a multiplier instead. If there was anything to complain about here, it would be that there isn’t enough innovation in this area. Still, their games do provide you with plenty of features, so they’re still quite enjoyable.
Pragmatic Play Slots RTP and Payouts
Some slot machines from Pragmatic Play might give you a lot of lines, multipliers and payouts of up to 1,000x, while others will go the other way, and provide you with rewards that multiply your line bet by up to 5,000x or 10,000x. Bonus games can sometimes give you even better rewards than those from regular combinations.
