An exciting new game from Yggdrasil, with very good potential, Pirates 2 Mutiny will feature the pirate theme that many are still enjoying, even though there is a long line of such games being released each year. It’s very well designed, it has several cool features, and the action is kept interesting as a result.

For a slot machine which uses Cluster Pays to form its winning combinations, Pirates 2 Mutiny has a fairly typical setup, with 5x5 reels. It’s doing a lot to keep things interesting, relying on Dropdown Wins for one, with symbols removed through it. Others include the Tsunami, Multipliers, giant Mutiny Symbols, Cannon Blasts and free spins. As you can see, there is a lot to enjoy and keep yourself busy with, and ultimately there is a chance that you can win a prize of up to 4,400x the stake as well. RTP has been mentioned at 96.20%.

Pirates 2 Mutiny Game Features

In a game area which has 5x5 symbols, so 25 total, you’re trying to form clusters of 6+ symbols. When this happens, the Dropdown Wins feature is activated. All symbols of that type, wherever they may be on the screen, will become sticky. The other symbols are removed, and the remaining symbols drop down to the bottom. If additional symbols of that type show up, the Dropdowns continue. At the end, the win is calculated for the number of matching symbols that are adjacent. If you happen to get multiple clusters at the same time, then the low symbols are turned into higher value ones, so you’re left with only one type of icon to use.

Among several random features available here, Tsunami is a fun one, since you can get it when there are no new winning symbols, as part of the Dropdown. It will switch around the winning symbols, giving you a higher multiplier, and then will offer another Dropdown.

The Multiplier is applied when you have matching icons filling the bottom two rows.

Mutiny Symbols, coming in a 3x3 size, can appear at random, to be turned into 9 high value symbols of the same type.

Cannon Blasts take out low value symbols during losing rounds, so there is an additional chance at a big win.

Theme & Design

There isn’t much that I would consider surprising here, but that doesn’t mean that the slot isn’t fun. Yggdrasil knows how to design a good looking game, and the pirate theme is even easier than most to get right. You have four different pirates as high value symbols, while the medium ones revolve around pistols, swords, bottles of absinthe or hooks. Low value icons feature the card suits, four of them in total.
