Bus Stop Bonanza is the result of a new program designed by Yggdrasil together with hand-picked studios, called Champions Games. The developer that created this new slot is called Fish & Chips, and they designed something interesting here, as the game's reels can contract as you play.
You get 5x5 reels and 3,125 ways to win if the game area is at its largest, but it's possible to get the reels to contract to as few as 3 reels, and that would change the combinations. It's a slot with medium to high volatility, which will pay up to 10,051x the stake, and whose RTP range can reach 96%. Among its features, you will find the stacked high symbols, the reel contraction mechanic, multipliers, respins, free spins, and the Bus Stop Challenge.
For its wagers, the game allows players to select values in a range from $0.10 to $10.
Bus Stop Bonanza has a pretty good top prize to offer, particularly with the medium-high volatility that's mentioned. The developer mentions that 10,051x the stake is the best reward you can hope to get from it, and it sounds like that's the best outcome they got during testing. It's more likely to walk away with a profit if the 96% RTP is active for it, and not a lower setting.
The Double Decker Bus will be the wild symbol, which can form its own winning combinations of its own as well, so it's not just a substitute for others.
You will notice that the high-value symbols sometimes show up stacked on reels 1, 3, and 5, but it's not guaranteed.
To get the Reel Contraction to happen, you need the same stacked high symbol covering both the 3rd reel and one of the other two reels it can land on (either 1 or 5). The game area compresses, removing the reels that are between the high symbols. This can remove either the 2nd reel, the 4th reel, or both. A respin follows, and it comes with a 1x multiplier that you can increase with random multiplier symbols, each one going up to 10x. The high symbols are sticky, so only the reels that were not removed will respin (either the 2nd or 4th reel).
If the Reel Contraction removed two reels, then you get the Bus Stop Challenge. This is a mini slot with 1 position, which brings coins with prizes, multipliers, or the Exit symbol (ends the feature).
The other major feature gives you 8 to 12 free spins if you have 3 to 5 special scatters in view. It's played with a global multiplier, as well as a multiplier wild that adds to the global value. Wilds involved in wins turn into Walking Wilds and stay around for as long as they continue to contribute to combinations.
The action in Bus Stop Bonanza takes us to a bus stop, somewhere in the UK, and we find a bunch of characters there. From the young girl to the punk rocker, shy guy, or the granny, these are all high-value symbols. Lower symbols include the dog, luggage, headphones, an umbrella, a glove, and the mug.
It's a slot with a unique mechanic and a high-quality design that doesn't tell the same story as everyone else. Overall, I like it, and I recommend you check it out for yourself. It's not often that developers try to deliver something new and unique, and I think it should be rewarded by giving it a chance.
