Untamed Wilds
  • Release: July 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: ---
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

Designed for gameplay on all devices, Untamed Wilds is a new Yggdrasil Gaming release, a slot machine which is due to be released in early July 2019. Featuring wildlife themed graphics which seem to take us to the Northern regions of Europe, it will have a focus on the Northern Lights as well.

The One Armed Bandit
  • Release: July 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.30%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

A game which takes us to the Wild West once again, and delivers some excellent graphics along the way, The One Armed Bandit is also the type of slot which offers very high volatility (9 out of 10) and huge payouts, which is always a bonus. This is one of the new Yggdrasil Gaming slots for 2019.

Wild Robo Factory
  • Release: June 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.40%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

Wild Robo Factory, from Yggdrasil, is a game that tells us a cool story, about a robot factory which has both mechanical servants and evil supervisor robots that are overworking them. It’s going to feature the usual excellent graphics from Yggdrasil, plus it also offers big potential rewards, so there are some very good reasons to try it out.

Jackpot Raiders
  • Release: May 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.30%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

The action of Jackpot Raiders is going to remind you of Indiana Jones and his adventures during the first half of the 20th century, but that’s not a bad thing, as Yggdrasil managed to create a modern design for it, and the action is fairly interesting as well.

Niagara Falls
  • Release: May 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.20%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

Niagara Falls comes via Yggdrasil Gaming, though it’s actually a collaboration of this company with the guys from Northern Lights. What they came up with in this case is a classic game, with retro-style graphics that I found quite enjoyable, and chances are that you’re going to feel the same way.

Wild Mantra
  • Release: Apr 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.30%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

Wild Mantra is one of the few games that I’ve seen inspired by the Buddhist religion, and it works well as a slot machine, particularly when it has a design as good as what Yggdrasil Gaming has created here. It’s not the type of game with huge potential that has been popular lately, but it does look good, and that might be enough to make it fun for a lot of players.

Dr Fortuno
  • Release: Mar 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.20%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

Dr Fortuno looks like a game which likes to mix things up, and it does this by using mostly magic and circus inspired graphics. To be fair, this is more of a magic themed slot than anything else, but it almost looks like it’s a troupe that creates the show, as it includes not just Dr Fortuno, but also acts with Night Twins, Fire Head or Water Witch. It’s one of the Yggdrasil Gaming slots, and it’s got several cool features to show off as well.

Wilhelm Tell
  • Release: Mar 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: ---
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 10
  • Mobile: Yes

The story of Wilhelm Tell now comes to us in the form of a slot machine, which you can find at casinos promoting Yggdrasil Gaming. It’s a story that’s told in Switzerland, and it revolves around a marksman. Featuring an excellent soundtrack, the game has the usual modern graphics that we see in every Yggdrasil release, and when you add its big potential as well, you should have enough good reasons to want to check it out.

Dwarf Mine
  • Release: Mar 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.80%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 1024 - 16,807
  • Mobile: Yes

Yggdrasil Gaming came up in Dwarf Mine with a slot machine which impresses visually, same as all their other titles, but even better, it’s also going to have a fairly high win potential. The story is secondary, we’ve seen plenty of mining themed slots already, but there are other things about this game which prove exciting, and you can find out what those are from our review.

Champions of Rome
  • Release: Feb 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.40%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

If you love history, and the idea of a slot machine that’s inspired by Ancient Rome sounds great to you, then one of the best-looking titles that I’d recommend you check out is this one, Champions of Rome, from Yggdrasil Gaming. Not only is this a great slot machines graphics wise, but it manages to offer some fun features and decent potential payouts as well.

Cazino Cosmos
  • Release: Jan 2019
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.00%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

Following another slot machine of theirs, called Cazino Zeppelin, Cazino Cosmos is a release from Yggdrasil Gaming. It’s offering a space themed design, with a bit of steampunk style added as well, and with various aliens acting as its main characters. It can be exciting to play, thanks to rewards and features which have been implemented in it.

Time Travel Tigers
  • Release: Nov 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.30%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

The game’s title will give it away, and indeed you will discover soon enough that the action in this new Yggdrasil Gaming slot revolves around time traveling tigers. You get excellent graphics, a time travel machine and a decent RTP.

Pirates: Smugglers Paradise
  • Release: Oct 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: ---
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: ---
  • Mobile: Yes

Pirates: Smugglers Paradise is a new Yggdrasil Gaming game, a slot machine with very cartoonish graphics, which may be enjoyable for some, but which don’t have much in common with the image of a dangerous pirate. In some ways, it reminds me of Candy Crush Saga and its style of design, going only for the cute angle.

Baron Samedi
  • Release: Nov 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 97.1%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

Slotted for release in November 2018, Baron Samedi is a Yggdrasil Gaming slot machine which promises to be a bit on the creepy side, but also a lot of fun. The Voodoo connection is clear, and the game will involve a lot of impressive features and collectibles, not to mention superb graphics.

Dark Vortex
  • Release: Sept 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 97%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 243
  • Mobile: Yes

If you’re not necessarily interested in playing positive slots, the type where only good things happen, then a title like Dark Vortex might be just what you need. It’s a monster themed game, featuring devils and demons in many of its roles, with rats and Lady Death as some of its other characters. It has the usual high-end quality which is typical of Yggdrasil Gaming.

Nitro Circus
  • Release: Nov 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.2%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

Yggdrasil Gaming is launching a brand new type of slot machine for them, a branded release which they’re creating in collaboration with Nitro Circus. It’s an American experience which relies on daredevils, motorcycles and extreme sports, in a show unlike any other. Now, it’s available as a slot machine as well, as Yggdrasil is preparing for a November launch for this new game of theirs.

Wolf Hunters
  • Release: Sept 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: ---
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 20
  • Mobile: Yes

Wolf Hunters is one of the dozen or so slot machines that Yggdrasil Gaming is releasing in 2018, programmed to be the title from September right now. The game has a werewolf hunting theme, and it will sport the awesome graphics that this developer has always given us.

Honzo’s Dojo
  • Release: Aug 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.1%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 25
  • Mobile: Yes

One of the big productions that Yggdrasil Gaming chose to create in 2018 is Honzo’s Dojo, a game with a Japanese Samurai theme that has been programmed for release in August. The game has a lot of great features, but more on that below.

Penguin City
  • Release: Jul 2018
  • Soft: Yggdrasil
  • RTP: 96.2%
  • Reels: 5
  • Lines: 243
  • Mobile: Yes

Penguin City is one of the fun new releases that are proposed by Yggdrasil Gaming in 2018, this being the game that they’ve programmed to be launched in July. The story is a funny one, with the evil Penguin Emperor using his minions as slaves that must work in a restaurant. Part of the game’s graphics revolve around the various ingredients and foods you would find in a Chinese restaurant, while others show off the penguins, which are funny characters that I’ve enjoyed seeing.

Yggdrasil Gaming is a developer of slot machines first of all, but which also has content related to the lottery and keno categories. They’ve been founded in Malta, by a former CEO of NetEnt’s, and I think that you will agree that the style of design and general philosophy behind their games will show the resemblance between the two companies. They have a short history, being created in 2013, and yet they already have 40+ high quality games to offer and they’re one of the most impressive new companies in this space that I’ve seen lately. The company’s name derives from the mythical huge tree from Scandinavian Mythology, which acted as a door to all 9 worlds, including Asgard, the one where the gods lived.

The company might be based in Malta, but it also has offices in Poland, Gibraltar and Sweden. Their gaming licenses are obtained in countries like UK, Malta, Romania and Gibraltar.

History

Yggdrasil Gaming was founded in 2013 and they obtained their first gaming license that same year. In 2014 they made the move from Flash to HTML5, insuring that all their games are accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. In 2015, they created Boost, a promotional tool that is available in-game, plus they launched the first network campaign. In 2016, they released a sharing tool for social media, allowing players to brag about their winnings, plus they launched Missions and the Yggdrasil White Label Studios. During all this time, they continued to create new games for the online gambling sites that have their content on offer, of which there are about 60 currently. In 2017 they won awards for “Innovator of the Year” and “Slot Provider of the Year”, at the International Gaming Awards and at the EGR B2B Awards, respectively.

Yggdrassil Casino Games

What Yggdrasil Gaming is most well known for is the slot machines that they create, superb games for the most part, using graphics and features to their advantage. They apparently have other games as well, related to the lottery and keno categories, but the slot machines appear to be their bread and butter. They’ve created over three dozen titles so far, and they done an excellent job with them.

If you look at their earlier slot machines, titles like Robotnik and Fruitoids, you can see how they continued to improve their work in time, and now you have games like Rainbow Ryan or Valley of the Gods to look forward to. There are plenty other games to enjoy, and as favorites I would mention Beauty & The Beast, Double Dragons and Monkey King.

Those looking for slot machines that offer something unique, will probably find something like that in pretty much any game of theirs, though in some cases it will be the theme, other times the layout or the features. Theme wise, I think that slots like Orient Express, Legend of the White Snake Lady, Nirvana or Seasons will be very interesting and mostly unique. Among the ones that are more common, you will find games inspired by the Irish (Rainbow Ryan), Ancient Egypt (Valley of the Gods), the circus (Wicked Circus), soccer (Bicicleta) or mythical creatures (Double Dragons).

Graphics

One of the things that have made me pay attention to Yggdrasil Gaming’s slot machines in the first place was the quality of the graphics in pretty much all titles that they released so far. Some of them might be less interesting because of the choice of theme or symbols, but you can’t ever say that the designers didn’t do their best in actually creating all those images. I look forward to every slot machine they create, and I’m often excited once I see what they came up with. I can give you a dozen different examples of slot machines of theirs that I enjoyed because of their graphics, but I will mention just two. One of them is Legend of the White Snake Lady, the other is called Legend of the Golden Monkey. It just so happens that both are games that are inspired by Chinese legends.

Features

Once again, this is an area where Yggdrasil Gaming tends to innovate or at least use features that feel rare. I don’t actually remember any game of theirs where they used only basic features, without doing something exciting to them. Among the names of the features that you can discover just by taking a look at a couple of random slots, you will find Dropdown Wins, Dragon Heads, nudges, free spins, wilds, respins with locked wilds, Count Down Wilds, Sticky Wilds, bonus games and many others.

Payouts

Looking at regular combinations, you’re probably never going to be satisfied with the prizes you get from them. The typical high paying combo will give you around 200-300 coins, which usually means less than $2,000. The bonus features will often have payouts of 5,000 coins, and in one case I’ve even seen a game offer 25,000 coins that way. Either way, there is no questioning the average RTP of their games, which almost always starts at 96% and even reaches 97% in some cases.
