NetEnt is not a developer that I typically associate with classic fruit slots, but Good Old 7’s is one of several such games that we’ve seen them release over the last year. They’ve made their name on the back of great graphics, so while there is a demand for simpler games, it also feels like a step backward.
Good Old 7’s has a setup with 5x3 reels spinning and 243 ways to win available. The payouts are acceptable, going up to 3,348x the stake, but the high volatility is a big disadvantage, even if the RTP is set to 96.10%. The biggest features available in this slot would be the wild symbols, a Twin Reel, and the Bonus Wheel.
A bet of at least $0.10 has to be selected each round. There is the option of spending up to $150 on each round if the budget allows for it.

The reels 2-4 are going to be the ones bringing the major features, as that’s where stacked wild symbols can show up. Get them in view, and they’re going to contribute to whatever winning combinations they can as substitutes.
Should at least one stacked wild land on a reel and cover it completely, it will trigger a Twin Reel feature. This selects a reel without wilds, at random and then replicates the symbols shown on it to another reel that has no wilds.
One more fairly simple feature is available in this slot, and that’s the Bonus Wheel. It only requires one special symbol dropping on the 5th reel, to get access to it. The Wheel spins for you, and it will stop on a prize, with a value between 2x and 100x the stake. You also have the option of gambling the result of this spin, for a chance at something better.
Good Old 7’s is clearly a classic slot machine if we go by the fruit theme it uses. There are certain elegant decorations, particularly around the game area, but the choice of symbols will not surprise you. These symbols include the Diamond, Bell, Triple BAR, Double BAR, BAR, watermelons, oranges, lemons, plums, and cherries.
I like the mix of special features, which are not terribly complicated, so they match the classic fruit theme and what players would expect from such a game. I’m not a fan of the lower jackpot since the volatility is high.
