Martian Miner will take us to the Red Planet, now colonized and mined by humans. We’re looking for precious metals, naturally, and the game can deliver adequate rewards, but there is room for better at the top.

Martian Miner: Infinity Reels offers 4+ reels, through the usual Infinity Reels system, though here it expands towards the bottom and it’s limited to 76 reels (not quite infinite). The prizes can keep coming for as long as new winning symbols land, but there is a limit to how much one can take home. It’s set to 5,536x the stake, or $138,400. You can expect a medium-high volatility title, that has a 96.06% RTP. As for the types of features that are delivered by it, you will discover the Wild Astronaut, Free Spins Fuel, the obvious free spins, Treasure Chests, a Teleport Reel Modifier, and multipliers.

Betting and Prizes

You can select the bet, the way you always do in real money slots these days. $0.20 is going to be the minimum wager allowed, while $25 is going to be the highest one possible.

It’s not quite as powerful as some of the other Infinity Reels slots that we’ve seen so far. A jackpot of $138,400 can be paid, to those using the maximum bet. This places the top return at 5,536x the stake.

Considering that it’s advertised as a slot with medium to high volatility, I think they could’ve done better, payout wise. RTP is fine though, at the 96.06% that’s been advertised, so while I may not like the top prize, this is not a game to avoid.

Martian Miner: Infinity Reels Game Features

Martian Miner: Infinity Reels will start you off with 4 reels, going from top to bottom. To get paid, you need 5 or more matching symbols, appearing from top to bottom. Provided that you got to use the bottom reel as well, the drill will dig into the ground and will add one more reel there. If wins continue to improve, the reel expansion continues. At most, you can get to 76 reels. As you might’ve noticed, this is a different version of the Infinity Reels system, that we’ve seen in several other slots already.

You get paid based on the number of matching symbols involved in the win, each one having a fixed value.

You can get help from wild symbols, the ones showing the Astronaut. They’re going to be used only for regular combinations, they don’t replace feature triggers.

In order to get into the free spins, the requirement is to have 10+ wins through the Infinity Reels system. Free Spins Fuel pods can be collected as you play, so that the number of triggered free spins will be higher, once you do get the feature.

During free spins, Marsonite symbols act as replacements for high value icons.

There are also instant prizes delivered through Treasure Chest symbols.

A multiplier will go up, whenever you get Ankh symbols to land during free spins.

Theme & Design

I like the theme of this one, and I’m sure it will be a hit with anyone that loves science fiction. The colonization of Mars has been achieved in the game, and we’re mining the Red Planet for resources, including precious metals. We see the human colony in the background, on the surface of Mars, while the reels are designed to show us the mine, and the machine digging into the ground.

Symbols will give us the Astronaut as the wild, along with various other icons that show up during free spins (Treasure Chests, Fossils, Ankh). The regulars start with the top-paying Marsonite, and continue with Diamonds, Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron, and five Royals (Ten to Ace).

Conclusion

Martian Miner: Infinity Reels is an interesting version of a casino game engine that’s already proven quite popular. It feels different, and I can’t say I’m a big fan of it, but it’s something else to try out, and you could have a better reaction to it. It’s worth checking out.
