Lock'n Load features its version of a Wild West-themed design, and it’s a slot that is designed by Bitpunch and released by Yggdrasil Gaming. A low-risk title, with decent prizes and excellent graphics, it’s on my list of favorites at the moment, though there are some downsides as well.

You will discover a game area with 5 reels and 25 lines. It’s enough to bring the player wins of up to 7,500x the stake, with a constant stream of wins that keep the volatility at a low level. Unfortunately, the RTP only goes to 94%. Among its features, there will be free spins, wilds, and respins.

I’m a fan of this prize mostly because this slot has low volatility, so you can play it casually and still get a shot at a life-changing round. The RTP could use some improvement, though, since its highest value is 94%.

Lock'n Load Game Features

One of the symbols you get on its reels, the one with double pistols, will act as a wild and will form a top-paying combo if it lands 5 times on a line. It pays up to 60x the stake for such a combo, so double the amount you would get from a regular symbol.

If the Badge scatter lands three times, the game will trigger the free spins. For this mode, there are huge symbols landing on reels 2-4, capable of taking over up to 3x3 positions and forming several wins at a time.

If 6+ Coins (horseshoe-shaped with prizes in the middle) appear at the same time, you get access to a bonus game. It has 3 respins initially, and you can reset their number if additional Coins land (the triggering Coins are sticky).

Theme & Design

The action of Lock'n Load takes us to a bar, somewhere in the Wild West of North America. There is an American flag on the wall, a chick with a handgun and an eye patch next to the reels, and a drunk at the bar who’s looking for trouble. As for the reels, those get filled with a mix of symbols. Some are the main characters, while others feature various bottles of booze, badges, etc.

Conclusion

Lock'n Load, while it comes with several fairly common features (respins and free spins), also has a couple of modifiers to make it interesting (giant symbols and double the jackpot for an extra bet). It’s worth checking out, but you should also consider the 94% RTP, which is lower than typical in a slot.
