Mega Flip Slot Machine Review

Mega Flip is a type of game that will send confusing messages. Relax Gaming designed it to offer a classic fruit theme and a disco-inspired design for the surrounding graphics, and yet once you look at its features, you discover a modern release with a fairly rare setup and features, so it’s worth looking into at the very least.

It was designed with 6 reels and 108 lines, where the number of symbols is 2-2-3-3-4-4 during the base game, and 4-4-3-3-2-2 for the free spins, so the layout reverses. Wins of up to 5,493x the stake are considered pretty good, though you need to also keep in mind that the slot will have a 5 out of 5 rating for its volatility. RTP is still at 96.20% though. Looking at the features that the game will deliver, those come via scatters, re-spins, multipliers and free spins.

Betting and Prizes

As you will often find in modern video slots, the wagers for the upcoming spin will not have to cover a certain number of lines, or give you the option to select coins and denominations. It’s easier than that, as you just have to select the wager that you want, and the range that’s used is between $0.20 and $100.

While the regular combinations of the game will not pay all that much, you do get plenty of lines there, and up to 7x multipliers, so those can add up. The top jackpot that’s possible in Mega Flip gets to 5,493x the stake.

For the rewards that the game makes possible, the High volatility is to be expected, but you can at least take comfort in the fact that the RTP is at a good level, of 96.20%.

Mega Flip Game Features

It’s an unusual layout, with just 2 symbols on the first two reels, 3 on the middle ones, and 4 symbols on the last two. This setup reverses for the free spins, so at that point it should be a lot easier to form winning combinations (3+ needed, left to right).

A horizontal reel, which you will see spinning as you do the same for the vertical reels from the main area, will decide if you get a Re-spin that round. In order to actually use the Re-Spin, you also need at least one winning combination at the same time. If the two conditions are met, then the winning symbols are locked in their current positions, and the other reels re-spin. If there are more winning symbols added, then the re-spins continue until that is no longer the case.

Get an entire reel covered with winning symbols, and there is a multiplier at the top that will become active. As you go from reel 1 to reel 6, the multipliers are activated one after another, from 2x to 7x.

As for the free spins, those you get via scatters, 3 or more needed to deliver 8 to 14 rounds. The reels flip, so that the first two are the ones with 4 symbols each now. Another change is that the game’s multipliers can become active on any reel now, not just on adjacent ones.

Theme & Design

The theme of Mega Flip is nowhere near as interesting as the rest of the game. It’s a classic fruit theme, and while the surrounding graphics seem to place the action in a disco like setting, the symbols still offer us Lucky 7s, stars, bells, shamrocks, cherries, oranges and plums.
