Play 🎰 Aurora Slot Now
Relax Gaming and Northern Lights have collaborated for the release of Aurora, a game which tries to bring forward the beauty of the Aurora Borealis, using a bit of Native American style to make it pop. It’s beautifully designed, no question there, and there are a few other extras to look forward to, but more on what the slot offers below.
5 reels host 30 active lines in Aurora, a game which is not built to pay huge prizes, just to provide the player with a relatively steady stream of wins. It’s described as a slot with low to medium volatility, and the 150x top payouts which appear possible here will certainly be adequate for that kind of level. RTP ends up at 96.08%, which is enough for a modern release, though there is also room for more. The wild, free spins and a Troll character which awakens for the latter, these are some of the big features that you can find along the way.
Betting and Prizes
The wager setup allows for all 30 lines, and so 30 coins are included in it at all times. You get to pick the total bet value, and there is a range of $0.30 to $42, which you can use there. The highest that you’re spending per line is $1.40.
The payouts are going to be fairly low, with the wild and the Aurora logo both capable of forming combinations which pay up to 5x the stake per line, or 150x the stake total per spin. It might seem low, but the new slot has low-medium volatility, and the typical rewards for such games aren’t too far from what we’re seeing here.
The RTP is at 96.08%, which is average, but once again it’s what we find in a lot of similar slots.
Aurora Slot Features
A simple W logo is the symbol that you are going to use for the slot’s substitute. It’s easily included in all sorts of regular combinations, since it replaces any symbol that is missing, provided that all the others required for the combo are there. Wilds may also create combinations of their own, and at that time they can pay up to 5x the stake, the slot’s highest reward.
Another wild symbol, one which lands stacked, the Troll is the one which will trigger the free spins when covering the 3rd reel fully. Nudges are a possibility, but not a guarantee, if the Troll appears on reel 3 only partially.
As the free spins start, a troll awakens and will start moving on the reels, either to the right or the left. It can also split in two, and then move to both sides. If additional trolls land on reel 3, they also awaken and start moving. Once you have a round with no more trolls left in view, the feature ends.
A random bonus may come during losing rounds, flipping symbols and turning them into extra wilds.
Theme & Design
There is a touch of fantasy in the game’s design, thanks to the troll’s presence, but otherwise the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) is a real phenomenon that can appear in the sky, in the northern regions of our planet. For the symbols of this game, we get the W logo, the Troll wild, Aurora logo, four idols which appear to be made out of wood, plus four Royals which look like they’re stone-based.
Aurora looks good, has interesting features, and for a casual player it could be a pretty good choice. This means that the top payouts are quite low though, and plenty of players will shy away from it.
