Amped Slot Machine Review

Music has been as much of an inspiration for slot machines as any other form of art, if not more. Electronic music is apparently a focus for Amped, a game which revolves around stereo systems, speakers and even old-fashioned tapes. It’s one of the games that Relax Gaming has designed for 2020, and a slot machine which seems to target the majority of today’s players, thanks to a rather mild volatility.

Amped features 30 active lines on 5x3 reels. Through them, wins of up to 450x the stake can be obtained, while multipliers can kick in at times and potentially give prizes a further boost. The slot’s RTP is 96.37%, while volatility is medium. The big features that were included, give us four variants for the free spins, along with their multipliers, sticky wilds, expanding wilds and even respins.

Betting and Prizes

The wager doesn’t appear to have much in common with the number of lines which are available. For the 30 active lines, the game gives you the option to pick a bet from a range of $0.10 to $100.

450x the stake appears to be the highest payout that Amped can deliver. It’s a good enough reward for a slot machine like this one, where volatility is only medium, though we’ve seen quite a few games do even better with a similar level of risk. Luckily, there are certain free spins versions where the multiplier can go up whenever wins are formed, and that’s where you want to go if you’re looking to go beyond the game’s base game potential.

It should also be mentioned, that the RTP is at a decent 96.37%, a level that is in line with what’s expected of a modern title these days.

Amped Game Features

Pink and black record disks, with the Wild logo in front, will serve as the slot’s substitutes. You may include these in a new combo, but they’re quite capable of paying you directly, and their own prizes reach the maximum of 15x the stake (same as the top regular symbol).

In addition to the dedicated wild, the game also incorporates four mixed wild/scatter symbols. These can show up and trigger their own variants of the free spins, but they also act as substitutes when they can assist in some way.

If you only get two of them of the same type, then a Respin feature occurs, and attempts to get you the third one that’s needed to trigger the free spins. Theme & Design

It’s a music themed game, with a retro vibe and neon-style symbols. Don’t expect the most attractive design from this one, it’s fairly simple for the most part. Some of the symbols shown are based on music, including here the various wilds. You will notice on the reels vinyl records, boom boxes, speakers, cassettes, microphones, along with the four diamond icons (colored in red, blue, green and orange). Those same colors from the card suits are found in the Scatter Record icons as well.

Conclusion

Amped slot by Relax Gaming looks like a fine option, and I’m sure there will be some players that enjoy it. I wasn’t a fan, and while there isn’t anything major wrong with it, neither does it make me excited about playing it.
