Shining Hot 20 is just one of the four different slot machines that Pragmatic Play has come up with, where the only real difference is from the number of active lines. Otherwise, they’re the same classic slots, with fruit symbols and a fairly short list of special features to take advantage of.
They chose to include 20 active lines on the 5x4 reels of Shining Hot 20, pretty much as the title suggests. The Bell scatter and the Diamond Wild are the stars, at least if we’re looking at feature symbols. If you max out winnings, up to $250,000 could be paid (2,500x the stake). At the same time, this is a game with decent returns, as the 96.33%, max RTP proves.
For a game area with 20 active lines, you’re looking at bets of at least $0.20 per spin. Maxed out, the bet could require up to $100.
2,500x the stake is the sort of payout that makes a slot machine at least moderately attractive for the average player. So many other games do even better, that those promising too little look like there is something wrong with them. In this case, I’m satisfied with the slot’s potential.
Even though the rewards aren’t that big, the slot’s volatility is considered high (about a 9/10 rating). Still, find a version of it with the max RTP of 96.33%, and you will get a fair chance to win here.
A bit of help along the way, in forming new winning combinations, will come from the substitute which is the Diamond Wild. Placed alongside regular symbols, they could help you get more winning combinations formed. That’s the most common way to use the wild symbol since even a single symbol could be of some help. As a replacement, it works alongside regular symbols, so it doesn’t take the place of scatters.
There are also cases where up to 5 wilds will line up on an active line, creating their own combinations when the requirements are met. The slot’s best prizes will come then, with up to 125x the stake paid on each line.
One more feature symbol is present here, a Golden Bell scatter. It doesn’t have free spins or other features to deliver, only prizes that get better if you have more scatters on the reels somewhere. Using 3 to 5 scatter symbols, the game pays 5x to 500x the round’s stake.
I wouldn’t expect any other modern features out of Shining Hot 20, it’s just not that sort of slot machine.
The graphics of Shining Hot 20 are not exactly impressive, but you wouldn’t really expect that from a classic anyway. The fruit-style symbols, with flames in the background image no less, are common across a lot of different older slots.
The actual symbols give you the Apple, Oranges, Plums, Cherries, Lemons, and Bananas. The triggers for the slot’s features take the form of a Bell scatter and a Fire Diamond Wild.
Shining Hot 20 offers a decent number of lines, but it keeps the same top payouts and features as the other slots of this series. It’s a game for players that enjoy simpler slots, the type to take us back in time a couple of decades.
