Mahjong Wins will turn the popular Chinese game into a slot machine, with its theme being inspired by it. Pragmatic Play didn’t go far enough, though, as it’s missing special features that are built around the board game. It’s just a slot machine with a Mahjong theme, which can be all right if you don’t have bigger expectations.

You’re looking at a regular game area with 5x4 reels, but the choice of Mahjong tiles for its symbols means that there is a resemblance to the original board game.
Winning combinations will form left to right if matching symbols appear on 3+ consecutive reels.
The Tumble mechanic will immediately remove the winning symbols so that others can drop in available spots. Tumbles can continue for as long as new combinations result from them. An increasing multiplier goes to 2x, 3x, and then 5x as you go through consecutive tumbles in a single round.
The Gold Ingot Wild will land on reels 2-4, ready to act as a substitute.
You can also get Gold Symbols at random, in positions on the middle reels. They transform into wilds for the next tumble.
The Scatter symbol can land on all reels, but you need it on 3+ to get access to the free spins.
You receive 12 free spins and a 2x multiplier for all wins. Through tumbles, the multipliers get to 4x, 6x, and then 10x.
It’s a Mahjong-themed slot machine, so its reels are filled with tile-like symbols that make it look like the real thing. There are some extras there, such as the Gold Ingot Wild or the Scatter with Chinese writing on it. Eastern Asian dragons are floating around next to the reels.
Even if you’re not going to get any Mahjong-themed features from this one, the graphics and the mechanics involved might still make it a good one to check out.
