An upcoming release from Pragmatic Play, Cash Elevator is going to be an online slot game. It’s a developer that we’ve seen launch a lot of good games over the years, and they’re coming up with several new titles pretty much on a monthly basis. It might sound like a bore, thanks to its elevator mention, but you’re looking at a game which involves two lovers and a Steampunk-style design, and that’s very good. This slot was designed together with Reel Kingdom.
Cash Elevator might not have the strongest start, if you just look at the 5 reels with 20 paylines that are used. Still, it does enough in other areas, and allows for wins of 20,000x the stake to be paid, all while maintaining a 96.64% RTP which I’m more than satisfied with. Two stacked wilds are being used for the Dead Lovers free spins, but you will also find Money symbols and the Cash Elevator bonus.
In Cash Elevator, the betting options appear to be the ones we’re used to seeing from most Pragmatic Play titles. $0.20 is a low enough starting point for everyone to be able to use, but there are significantly higher bets as well, even of up to $100 ($5 per line).
For a slot machine whose volatility appears to be quite high, we’re expecting big potential rewards, and Cash Elevator doesn’t disappoint. 20,000x the stake is what is ultimately possible inside, and while the odds are very low of that happening, it’s a possibility.
A figure worth mentioning, is the above average Return to Player, of 96.64%.
The game’s taking the form of an elevator, installed in a building with 13 floors + 1 basement. You start off at level 1, where all regular symbols are present. As you take the elevator up, each new level you advance through will remove one of the low value symbols, starting from the 9.
In order to move Up or Down, there are special symbols which will show up, with arrows and numbers. You can go up by 1, 2, 3 or 12 floors, and you can also go down by 1, 2 or 3 floors. The level is memorized for the current bet amount, so you can’t switch to bigger ones when you’re close to the top, it will start you from the ground floor when you do that.
Eventually, you could get to the 13th floor, where only top symbols are present, and you can form combinations on all lines.
Stacked wild symbols will be present in the game, in two variants, with the Man on reel 2 and the Woman on reel 4. These are 3 symbols high, and they can cover a full reel, acting as substitutes. If they do show up, they trigger the free spins feature, called Dead Lovers.
The game will have you making a pick, to give you a random number of rounds, between 6 and 12. With two triggering wilds, the number has a range of 12 to 24 rounds.
For the free spins, you’re going to start from a random floor (between 1 and 12). You get the stacked wilds covering reels 1 and 5, and they’re sticky there, until certain conditions are met. The game will make them move towards each other, after rounds formed with the lowest paying symbols of the current elevator level. Eventually, they can meet on reel 3, merging and giving you 5 extra free spins. They will then split and go back towards reels 1 and 5. This can keep happening, and more free spins can be obtained through this mechanic.
If you reach the 13th level, you get the Hold and Spin bonus. It starts at a random level, between 1 and 12. You then start collecting Money symbols of different types, along with blank positions. You can get versions which deliver prizes, others which apply multipliers, and a third variant which pays the floor’s prize. You get a random number of these Money symbols initially, and you try to get more. Additional symbols reset the spins back to 3, when they appear.
The jackpot is paid at the end, taking into consideration all Money symbols and the multipliers which were collected.
It’s an elevator themed game, yes, but it has a Steampunk style design as well. It goes well with the love story that’s going on between the bell hopper and the lady, the slot’s two stacked wilds. Various Money symbols are also present at times. As for the regulars, those symbols show us the building with the elevator, a black cat, a pocket watch, a telephone, a key, an old car, and luggage. The six low paying symbols have the Royals.
Cash Elevator looks like a game which has a lot to offer. They’ve put plenty of effort into it, and they designed a slot which can pay an impressive top jackpot, has excellent RTP, and a unique theme and story.
