Aztec Gems is going to be available through casinos that have games from Pragmatic Play, a company that’s releasing new titles on a pretty regular basis. They’ve come up with a classic slot that has a couple of unique bells and whistles added to it, the theme revolving around gemstones that appear in an Aztec inspired game.
3x3 reels are going to house your regular combinations and the 5 lines that they form on, but the slot also has a 4th multiplier reel. The features included rely on the 1x to 15x multipliers which are going to be delivered via the 4th reel, but also on wild symbols. Rewards don’t go too high, only up to $7,500, but you still have the RTP at 96.52%, which is great.
Betting and Prizes
Betting is done with 5 active lines that have to be covered. You start off with 5 coins, but you’re given the option to boost the wager to 50 coins, in which case each line would have 10. The coin denomination is the other bet option that you can use, and you may take it from $0.01 to $0.50. With those figures in mind, we can calculate the betting range of Aztec Gems as being between $0.25 and $25.
The bets aren’t going to be large, and the number of symbols that form combinations is limited, so the rewards don’t go very high either. At most, on their own, winning combinations will pay up to $125. The 4th reel multiplier improves things significantly for you though, with up to 15x applied to the wins of that round. Wins of up to $7,500 are apparently possible in Aztec Gems. As we’ve already mentioned, this comes packaged in a slot with an RTP of 96.52%, which is a good target for any game to have right now, though ideally it should be even higher.
Aztec Gems Slot Features
The feature that you will see in action most often is probably going to be the Win Multiplier, which you get each round from the 4th reel. That particular column will spin at the same time with the other three, but on it you will see only values between 1x and 15x. The number that appears in the middle of the reel will be the multiplier that will be applied to all wins that you might get that round. It doesn’t matter if you get one or five wins that spin, all of them will be boosted, hopefully by 15x.
Moving on to the more regular features that are included, there is only one other that you can expect, and that’s a wild symbol. It will show the image of an Aztec Idol, made out of gold, and it will appear on the first three reels. If an entire line gets occupied by it, the resulting combo pays up to $125, before any multipliers get involved. Otherwise, with just one or two wilds on a line, they will work to help you form other combinations by acting as replacements for regular symbols.
Theme & Design
The theme in itself is not particularly unique, though you’re not going to see too many slots that use the Aztecs and the gemstones together, being usually separate topics. Given the theme that is used, it’s no surprise that you see mostly gemstones that are set in gold among the symbols. The only exception is the wild feature, the 8th symbol, which shows you an Aztec Idol, made out of gold. It’s a decent looking game by any standard, and one might even call it “good looking”, if the comparison is made with the usual 3-reel slots.
Aztec Gems has decent graphics, and it’s a 3+1 reels slot machine, which masquerades as a classic slot, despite its unique multiplier feature.
