Kingdoms Rise Sands of Fury Slot Machine Review

There is a trilogy of slots, which are all under the Kingdoms Rise brand, and they were all launched at the same time. Sands of Fury is one of those new slosts, and based on what we’ve seen so far of this fantasy themed series, it looks like it will be one of the major offers in Playtech’s collection, for the next couple of years. For this one, we get a look at a kingdom from a warmer region, a desert being shown in the background as you play.

Sands of Fury plays on 5 reels, with 20 paylines offered in the game area at all times. You get winning combinations of fairly low value, but the game adds progressive jackpots as well to the offer, so it’s not as bad of a deal as it might appear initially. The slot makes use of some interesting features, among them being options such as Character Wilds, a Wild Fury bonus, along with re-spins and locked wilds. RTP is set to 96.23%, but this includes the game’s token system and the progressive jackpot’s contribution.

Betting and Prizes

There will be enough of a range in Sands of Fury, that you will find that you can play no matter how small your budget is. The minimum allowed is $0.10, while the maximum bet is $1,000.

Should the absolute best symbols (wilds) form winning combinations, each line they fill will pay 12.50x total stake. This means that the slot’s potential for a single round shouldn’t go over 250x total stake ($250,000). It’s a very low jackpot, and for me it’s one of the slot’s bigger downsides.

Kingdoms Rise: Sands of Fury Game Features

A major part of the game comes from its Character Wilds, with five different warriors appearing in these roles. They are also shown at the top of the reels. If you land the wild symbol on the reel where it belongs, then the Wild Fury bonus triggers next. The feature reel will become active then, and it will keep its character wilds locked in their positions, for the next round.

There is also a secondary feature, one which offers you 5 respins, during which wild symbols are locked in their spots. You get this via a special Shield & Swords symbol, appearing on the top reel. It turns all characters belonging to that reel, into wilds. The respins can end early, if the chain symbol appears.

Tokens can be collected from random symbols, and eventually you get enough and you’re able to buy access to features, using the game’s shop system.

Theme & Design

We’re seeing one more kingdom, from the fantasy universe that Kingdoms Rise appears to be building with each new game that is released. Here, we see a kingdom from a desert region, and as the five major symbols there are just as many characters/warriors. We see a woman with a medusa-like crown, barbarians, a woman with a bow, a mage and a lizard warrior. The rest of the symbols will show off gemstones.

Conclusion

Sands of Fury looks like a fun game, same as the others offered in the Kingdom Rise slot series. It has great graphics and unique features, along with progressive jackpots, but the composition of the RTP is not one that I’m happy with.
