Funky Monkey Jackpot is the second game that Playtech releases in this series, the only addition to the original title being the Jackpot word. It’s an important addition obviously, and the slot machine has been changed quite a bit to accommodate the progressive reward. The theme has remained the same one, revolving around a funky monkey, a character that’s dressed like a rock star and which lives in the jungle.
3 reels & 1 active line make this a classic slot game, but thanks to the progressive jackpot there is more potential in it than you might imagine. Moving on to the fixed payouts, the best one that is offered will be set to 888x. You shouldn’t expect features of any kind from this game, it’s a very simple title when it comes to that part.
The game has only one line, and it appears to ask only for your total bet. It’s more of a game for people with very small budgets, since it starts from a minimum of $0.15 and can be taken as high as $1.20. That bet is sufficient to trigger a spin, where you can win a progressive jackpot.
Check out the progressive jackpot value in the red display box that’s placed underneath the paytable, and above the reels. It has a big red arrow pointing to it, so you can’t miss it. From what I saw, values of $5,000 or $6,000 are in the range that you’re looking at. The symbol that is capable of delivering that progressive jackpot has the Jackpot logo, underneath the headshot of the funky monkey. The game has one more thing to brag about, its average RTP. Playtech made the slot a decent choice in that regard, in the long run offering you a 96.95% return.
You don’t get features from this game, just like you didn’t have them in the original Funky Monkey. The only choice is to spin the reels and hope for winning combinations to form, for which you need three matching symbols appearing on the only line that is available. The only time when you can get paid without three matching symbols, is when you have three Bar symbols on it, no matter of what type they are.
Funky Monkey Jackpot’s theme revolves around this cool character, a monkey that is dressed in a purple outfit, has tattoos, wears a gold chain around his neck and a pair of sunglasses with a pink rim. He obviously doesn’t get that title of Funky Monkey for nothing. You see this monkey in the logo area, in the jungle, but he’s also part of the Jackpot symbol which delivers the progressive prize. Moving on to the rest of the symbols, they include a pair of tribal drums, a palm tree, a hut, a pair of sunglasses, a bunch of bananas, 3Bar, 2Bar and 1Bar logos.
The game is enjoyable if you compare it with a lot of other 3 reel slot machines, which is the category that it belongs to after all. Even if you look at the original Funky Monkey, you can see an improvement in the quality of the design.
I think that Funky Monkey Jackpot could be an excellent pick for a lot of players that don’t have very large budgets, and which are looking for something with a good RTP and as few features as possible.
