The Age of the Gods slots series continues with another title in the Norse collection, a sub-series of sorts, which covers the deities of the Nords. Gods and Giants is the name of this new game, which will offer the usual high end graphics and progressive jackpots found in all titles of this series.
Age of the Gods Norse: Gods and Giants will have 5x3 reels & 50 active paylines, a pretty good combination, which gives the player a lot of chances to form wins. Either regular fixed jackpots (up to 1,000x), or the progressive jackpots of the series (Ultimate Jackpot and Daily Jackpot), are targets that the game places in front of the player, while at the same time keeping a 96.49% RTP. Among the features that Gods and Giants uses, you will find wilds and scatters, re-spins, free spins and mega symbols, so a lot of different options that can keep it fun.
You’re going to have a fairly generous betting range to use, between $0.20 and $300 per spin, used to activate the 50 paylines used in Gods and Giants.

The common Rune Wild is a feature here, which you get to use in forming all types of combinations. Use these wilds to cover full lines, and you get paid the best rewards that the game has to offer (1,000x).
The best feature that the game seems to offer will rely on respins, which you can trigger at any point, even in the base game.
Giant Symbols (3x3 sized) will sometimes make appearances, and besides the fact that they occupy a bigger game area, they also get locked in their positions for respins. For this to happen, you need the middle three reels fully covered by one of these Giant Symbols. A Giant Respin occurs next, if there were no wins triggered that round. For that respin, the Giant symbol either stays in place, or moves by one position to the left or right. Only the remaining two reels respin.
If a Giant symbol appears only partially in view, then there is a chance that a random Power Nudge will push it into place.
Access into the slot’s free spins is obtained by landing the required symbols, the ones with the Game Logo. Three are needed, stacked on one of the middle three reels. In this new mode, you get the symbols on the middle reels to land in their giant form, while the 1st and 5th reels get stacked symbols.
It’s a mythology themed game, like all the others from Age of the Gods. In the Norse category, we find several titles already, which focus on the Nordic gods and the monsters that their legends mention. As major symbols, we discover a Rune Wild, a Logo Scatter, plus five high value icons (two gods, a serpent and two giants) and the low value Runes. I think you will agree, the entire series of slots is gorgeous, and Playtech seems to focus quite a bit on the graphics of these games.
Gods and Giants is an excellent addition to the Age of the Gods Norse series, a slot with both good features, above average RTP, and several excellent progressive jackpots. What’s not to love?
