Sunny Fruits: Hold and Win is a brand new title, a slot machine which is offered within the classic genre, but at the same time it incorporates certain bonus features and jackpots that should make it more exciting to play, at least compared with what it looks like at first. It’s one of Playson’s titles, and this developer has quite a few other games that come with similar themes and graphics.
You play with 5x3 reels, and there will be 10 active paylines for you inside. The game doesn’t have the biggest payouts, but up to 1,000x the stake can still be delivered through one of its features. The bonus game will do that, with its respins and jackpots, plus you also get wilds and scatters as special icons. You will encounter some issues as well, and mostly I’m talking about a 95.05% RTP, which is considered a below average offer right now.
The wager is going to be selected directly, and there is a special bet menu that you can use, from the bottom of the game area. You have quite a few bet values there, within the range of $0.10 to $100.
If you’re curious about the biggest top payout that the game will deliver, that would be the Grand Jackpot, coming via the bonus game, and it’s worth 1,000x the stake (up to $100,000). The alternative comes from the regular symbols which form combinations, but they offer at most 25x the stake per line and 250x total if you fill the reels, so it doesn’t look as good.
Finally, the part that tells us how the game is designed to pay back players, the RTP, is at 95.05%. It’s not a great return average, as the good slots go from 96% upwards.
Though present only on the last four reels, the Wild Chilli Pepper is important for this game. It’s the one acting as a replacement in winning combinations, so you can have it next to any of the regular symbols, and a win can result from this. It will not take the place of the Sun scatters.
The Sun is present on all reels and it can appear multiple times on each one. At least 6 are required, so that you can get into the main bonus feature of Sunny Fruits. You then get the Sun scatters sticky for the feature, and 3 respins follow, during which you’re trying to collect as many Sun symbols as possible. Each one will have a cash value or a jackpot mentioned, and additional respins come when there are more Sun icons landing and turning sticky. Once the feature is over, the amounts mentioned on the scatters will be paid.
As for the fixed jackpots, the two smaller ones are paid when their own symbols appear during the bonus. The Grand Jackpot pays by getting bonus symbols in all 15 cells.
It’s not going to be much of a theme, and in fact it will feel very familiar, if you’ve played classic slots in the past. The fruits are taking up the majority of the symbols, which include cherries, lemons, oranges, plums, pears, grapes or melons. Next, there is the top jackpot symbol, the Lucky 7, along with a Wild Chilli and a Sun scatter. Not the best design around either, but it’s not quite as bad as one of the older slots.
Sunny Fruits: Hold and Win is part of a larger collection of similar slots from Playson, using classic themes, average graphics and mostly boring features. This one doesn’t have a high RTP either, so you don’t get a lot of good reasons to give it a chance.
