Sevens & Fruits is a new release from Playson, but you’d be forgiven if you mistook this slot machine for an older title. It’s the title and the gameplay style that are responsible for this first impression, since the basis for the game comes from classic slots with fruits and sevens, just as the name suggests.
Even the layout of Sevens & Fruits suggests a connection to the older games, delivering 5 reels but with only 5 active pay lines present on them. With only one feature implemented, a scatter symbol, the same impression of a barebones game is present when you look at the paytable as well. Speaking of the paytable, that’s where things get interesting, the game being capable of paying $100,000 on each of its lines.
Betting and Prizes
Even though you have only 5 active lines, the betting system is the same one that you will find in other games from Playson. You open up a menu, to reveal all possible total bet values. The smallest one is $0.25, while the biggest one is $100. They cover 5 lines, and so their individual stakes start at $0.05 and can end up at $20.
This is not one of those games where you win small prizes, on the contrary. Thanks to the very high potential value of the coins that you use, you can get paid up to $100,000 by a single combo. It’s only a 5,000x payout though, so it’s not an unheard-of reward. Playson has announced the game’s theoretical Return to Player as well, and at 96.31%, I consider it a good number, but most new slots will pay just as well.
Sevens & Fruits Slot Features
If features are what you’re after in slot machines, then chances are that Sevens & Fruits will be a huge disappointment to you. The game is as classic as it gets when it comes to this part, and it offers only one symbol that has a different ability than the rest. It’s going to be a scatter that does the honors, a symbol that may appear anywhere in view on the reels and as long as three or more are visible, you will get paid. There are no features to be had from this symbol, only a prize that is not going to offer much anyway.
Three, four or five of the scattered Gold Stars will pay you 2x, 10x or 50x total bet, so quite a bit lower than what you can get from the top 3 high-paying symbols.
Theme & Design
The theme is the expected one, involving fruits, sevens and stars, symbols that are part of hundreds of slot machines of all types, from 3-reel to 5-reels and with a huge variety of features. Most of the time though, these are simple games, and that’s what Sevens & Fruits tries to achieve as well. Naturally, the quality of the graphics is better than the original 3-reel fruits slots, but not by a lot. You get more polished images as symbols, but you’re still looking at stars, red sevens, watermelons, grapes, plums, lemons, oranges and cherries.
Playson’s Sevens & Fruits has the potential to pay well enough, and it has a good theoretical RTP of 96.31%, so it’s recommended to players that are interested in a simpler gameplay.
