Leprechaun Goes Wild Slot Review
|Betting Range (€/$)||0.20 - 100|
Leprechaun Goes Wild is the third game in a popular Play n Go series, due to be released in early 2020, which started with Leprechaun Goes Egypt (2013), and continued with Leprechaun Goes To Hell (2017). As usual, we have a leprechaun for the main character, but here he seems to have gone back home, the green hills of Ireland being present in the background.
In this case, they chose a 5x4 reels game area, which they populated with only 20 active lines. You get paid adequately, up to 800x the stake per spin, and as much as 10,000x for the entire free spins feature, but you also get high volatility in exchange. Ultimately, the RTP of 96.20% which is expected, will be reached with some help from the game’s features. These involve wilds for all the reels, along with scatters, free spins and a bonus called Luck of the Irish.
Betting and Prizes
You’re able to wager for the entire game area, but you start from as little as $0.20 per spin, in which case you’d use $0.01 per line. The other end of the range, which is at $100, allows for bets of $5 per line.
The game has rewards of up to 40x the stake per line, and up to 800x total ($80,000), and this will be possible with the help of the wild’s own combinations. There is potential for more, but only if you take the entire free spins feature into account, with its many rounds. By the end of it, this feature could pay up to 10,000x the stake.
They consider this a game with very high volatility, a 9 out of 10 on their scale, but they nonetheless mention that a 96.20% RTP is expected.
Leprechaun Goes Wild Slot Features
You do get wilds in this game, it goes without saying for a slot machine that mentions the feature in its title. The Leprechaun is that symbol, which takes a different form on each of the five reels. They can form combinations, even if they’re not substituting in some other combo, and on their own they pay up to 40x the stake on each line.
Luck of the Irish is a bonus feature, triggered via the scatter symbol landing only twice. In that case, you get a random feature, with either an additional scatter added to the screen, or with one wild placed on each reel. Either way, you end up with something good by the end of it.
The free spins require all three scatter symbols to be visible, on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. These will give you 7 to 13 free games, along with sticky wilds that you use for the entire feature. Land sticky wilds on all five reels, to trigger more free spins. At most, you can get 22 rounds total.
Theme & Design
It’s a Leprechaun/Irish themed game, and this time they went with a location that appears to be somewhere in Ireland. There are half-buried stone gods, but there are also green hills shown in the background. The Celtic-style decorations present all around the reels work well in this case. As for the available symbols, you either see flower-decorated Royals, or icons which are Irish specific. The latter include Leprechauns, cauldrons, hats, pipes, beer and horseshoes.
Leprechaun Goes Wild is a fun addition to the series, a game with high volatility, but with high potential as well. Add the RTP, at 96.20%, and it’s a good game to try out for the fans of the series, provided that they don’t mind it going back to its roots with this Irish location.
