Cleo’s Wish is the sort of slot machine that doesn’t offer the player a lot, at least if you’re interested in something innovative from your games. Inspired by Ancient Egypt, it reuses a theme that is probably part of hundreds of slot machines by now.
Cleo’s Wish gives us 25 active lines with 5 reels acting as support for them. The rewards of up to 500x, or $1,000, aren’t considered particularly high. If you’re looking at the features, those will provide you with scatters or wilds, along with three randomly triggered bonuses and two types of free spins.
There are 30 coins that are used every single round of Cleo’s Wish. The game lets you pick the coin’s value basically, so you end up with a complete range for the bet that goes from $0.30 to $60. For that range, you would be using a line bet that starts from $0.01 and can end up at $2.
The game appears to be offering a jackpot of 500 coins at most, which you can transform into a cash prize of $1,000. Pretty big multipliers can be achieved during the Super Spins, so you might get a reward of up to $10,000 or even more than that. The slot’s RTP is mentioned at 95.82%, which is close enough to a number that I’d consider average these days, for the newer slots at least.
A simpler feature in this game would be the wild symbol, in which you will see the image of Cleo, or Cleopatra as she is usually known. Wild symbols are useful because they can substitute for some of the other symbols, but they pay you directly as well, offering up to 500 coins in this case.
Looking at the scatters, those appear three times at most, and they offer you a cash reward while also triggering the free games feature. You pick a card and in return you’re given either Eternal Riches or Cleo’s Parade.
Cleo’s Parade gives you free spins where the 5th reel starts off wild. The wild reel moves to the left side, one position during each spin. Any new stacked wilds which appear on the reels will start doing the same thing, moving to the leftmost reel. The presence of another set of 3+ scatters adds another wild reel to the 5th column. The feature ends when the last stacked wild gets to the 1st reel.
As for Eternal Riches, this one has 5 to 10 spins for free to give you. The presence of wilds increases the multipliers for the Super Spins, while the scatters give you additional rounds to play in them. Once you’re done with the regular free spins, you reach those Super Spins. Relatively large multipliers can be achieved here.
The base game also benefits from three different randomly triggered features. One is called Sands of Fortune and it transforms certain symbols into a single randomly chosen one, for a better chance at a big win. Then there is also the Add Wilds Reels option, which adds random wilds to your columns. Finally, Guaranteed Wild Reels will transform up to five columns into wilds.
This is a game that features an Ancient Egypt theme, and from what I saw it doesn’t do it better than the slot machines that are at the top of this heavily populated category. It’s an enjoyable game, but I wouldn’t call it special based on graphics alone. Besides the poker cards, symbols are getting images of Cleo, pyramids, scarabs, Ankh crosses and bracelets.
Cleo’s Wish has that set of features working in its favor, but the theme and the graphics are disappointing.
