Best Casinos To Try This Slot
One of NetEnt’s releases, East Sea Dragon King is a Chinese themed title, one which seems to be part of the company’s offer for Asia’s players. They’ve released several other similar slots recently, so it looks like they’re working on getting a bigger share of the region’s market. As for the game, it’s got some decent offers to make, and it can be fun to play, graphics are excellent, while the top payouts are bigger than those from the usual NetEnt slot games.
Even though it gives you only 5x3 reels, East Sea Dragon King offers Cluster Pays as a way for you to form your combinations. The slot pays up to 6,000x total stake, it’s highly volatile, while its RTP is at 96.23%. Re-spins and expanding wilds are among the major features that you can expect to play with.
Betting and Prizes
You’re allowed to play with the betting options, changing the number of coins and denomination, but this influences only how much goes to each line. The full betting range is between $0.10 and $200.
NetEnt didn’t get us used to games with big top jackpots, so East Sea Dragon King does alright by us, offering a return of up to 6,000x in a single round. Since the slot’s wagers reach a fairly high limit, in theory the game could pay up to $1,200,000.
Another element to consider, is that the game’s volatility is high. It’s to be expected, since the casino still needs to make money, even while paying up to 6,000x prizes. You will be happy to hear that the Return to Player is calculated to be at 96.23%, which is at the same level as most of the modern slot machines.
East Sea Dragon King Slot Features
In a fairly small game area, you’re going to form your winning combinations via Cluster Pays. 5 to 15 symbols need to be connected, in order for a cluster to form, and get you paid. A higher number of symbols in a cluster will get you paid more.
One of the few feature symbols which are introduced here, the expanding wild is going to appear and take over its reel. This is a substitute, so it will mix with any other symbol that can form clusters in this game. It just needs to be next to enough symbols of the same type, so that it can contribute to their cluster.
At the same time, the expanding wild is locked where it lands, and a re-spin follows. If new wild symbols land, then they are also locked, and additional re-spins will be offered. Once you get no more new wilds, the re-spins stop.
Theme & Design
East Sea Dragon King gives us a Chinese theme that appears to have a focus on the country’s stories. It’s not very clear, and in fact the mix only has one major symbol with a character in it. The wild symbol is the one with the character, showing a man with green skin, white beard, which has horns and a golden fish on his head. It’s a memorable character for sure, but the others are more tame, including images of various coins, pearls, scrolls and fortune cookies.
I found a game with enjoyable graphics, a bit different design wise if compared with its competitors, and with an underwater-based background image. It lacks the usual mix of red and gold that 90% of Chinese slots seem to rely on, and I welcome that change.
East Sea Dragon King looks good, it’s simpler than other NetEnt releases, but at the same time it’s one of their few games with high volatility and excellent top payouts.
