An incredibly simple looking game, Super Liner is one of the Merkur releases, a slot machine with classic graphics, where even the design quality is at a level which seems to be lifted straight from the 90s. It’s not an exciting game to look at, but while simple, there are some things about it that I do like. More on what those are, below.
Overall, this feels like a very simple game, one which will form its winning combinations anywhere on the 5 active lines which are provided. The usual 5x3 reels will spin for you each round. A top prize of $10,000 is on the line, so about 1,000x is the return that you can get in a single spin. RTP is also at an OK level, of 96%, which is what I expect from any modern slot. As for its features, you’d be right not to expect much there, as only a wild symbol is provided.
Selecting the bet is easy enough, and all you have to do is pick the total amount which will go to the 5 lines. The list includes several options, ranging from $0.05 to $10. As there are 5 active lines, you will be spending between $0.01 and $2 on each one.
The payouts will go as high as 1,000 coins, for the best winning combinations which the game will form, the ones using Diamond symbols. Have the reels filled with Diamonds and Wild Suns, to get the most out of this slot machine, up to 1,000x total stake ($10,000 cash, at maximum bet).
As the RTP is also announced, at 96%, we know that the game will eventually return a decent amount back to the players spinning its reels. This is for the entire life of the game, not just for your spins, so don’t expect that outcome. Yours could be higher or lower, it’s random.
While Super Liner doesn’t offer a very long list of features, it does have its own pros, and it tries in its own way to make the game more profitable, at least to some extent. I’d mention here the ability to create winning combinations anywhere on the line, as long as there are three or more consecutive symbols there. For example, for a combo with three symbols, you could have them starting from the left, the right or in the middle of the line.
Only one regular feature is included, the wild symbol. This one is quite special, as it’s an expanding wild and it can take over the entire reel. The downside is that only the reels 2 and 4 will get its help. Even so, I’d expect for the wild to be of great use, especially since the lines make it a lot easier for smaller wins to form.
Super Liner isn’t the type of game to impress you with its story or graphics, on the contrary, it’s one of the biggest downsides. The slot has a fruit and gemstone theme, so it’s a bit of a mix, though both are very common in older games. We’re seeing the Sun as an expanding wild, along with three gemstones (sapphire, ruby and emerald) as high value symbols, while the fruits (grape, melon, strawberry, plum, orange, lemon, cherry) are of lower value.
Super Liner has dated graphics and relatively simple gameplay, but the RTP is alright and some of its features do look a bit more interesting, so it could work for players that enjoy this type of older look.
