Fruity Fruit Shake might be the type of new slot that uses classic fruits for its symbols, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t get some variety when it comes to its story. We’re seeing a fast food truck being used as the backdrop for its reels, and so it looks like the kind of place that might sell you freshly squeezed juice. Merkur is the one that designed this slot.
You’re going to find 20 lines on 5x3 reels, which is a standard setup these days. First of all, check out the Wild symbol. The more common role is that of the substitute since it can replace regular symbols and form winning combinations that way. It can also land next to other wilds, and their own combo can pay up to 25x the stake (regulars pay up to 20x).
The other major feature has the game logo on it. It’s available on the 1st or 5th reels. If the logo appears on reel 1, then it triggers respins, where you’re looking to get more symbols of this type on that same 1st column. It starts with cloning of the 5th reel to the 4th one. If you get more logos on reel 1, then the 4th clones to the 3rd, and so on, until you get all reels with the same sets of symbols on them.
If that same logo appears on reel 5, then it will be replaced by a wild. Respins follow then, and the behavior is the same as when the logo showed up on the 1st reel. You can’t get these symbols on both reels at the same time.
It’s a simple fruit theme, despite the food truck that supports the reels. Besides the Wild and the game logo, we find icons with cherries, lemons, plums, oranges, strawberries, melons, and grapes.
All in all, I like that it’s not just another fruit slot, and it actually implements some new mechanics to make itself an interesting option.
