Fight of Terragon is a dragon-fighting themed slot machine, one which delivers a range of interesting features, particularly revolving around multipliers that can give your wins a serious boost. With cute cartoon-style graphics, the aforementioned multipliers, and adequate rewards, it looks like an above average game from Merkur.
5x3 reels will be included in Fight of Terragon, and you will find 20 active lines there. It’s a game that gives you wilds, meters that you can collect in, and free spins with multipliers. It also has a 5,000x top jackpot, to go with its 96.05% RTP.
You’re able to select a wager, and it starts from a very low amount, of just $0.20. Since it covers 20 lines, you are required to spend at least $0.01 per line. The maximum bet is $40, so $2 per line.
5,000x the stake would be considered a fair top jackpot for most slot machines, so I think that you’re going to be satisfied with the offer here. It’s not likely to be a game for casual players, but it’s not unfair, and the 96.05% RTP proves it.
You’re going to get two different wild symbols in Fight of Terragon, and they’re represented by the two sides, the Knight and the Dragon. One of them will land on reel 1, while the other will show up on reel 5. Both are going to be used as substitutes, but they also get collected in the special meters, in order to eventually trigger the free spins.
The way this works, is through two different special meters. You work your way towards both of them, by collecting Knight wilds when they land in the framed position from reel 1, and the Dragon wild when it lands in the framed location on the 5th reel.
The first of the two meters is going to decide how many free spins you get. You advance on this meter by getting Knight wilds on reel 1, going from 5 to 20 possible free spins (5 levels in total).
The second meter is related to the multiplier that will apply during free spins. You use the Dragon now, to go from 1x to 5x.
Actually triggering the free spins is possible when you manage to get to the top of one of the two meters. At that time, you collect whatever progress you got on both of them, and you start the feature.
The best case scenario would have you reaching the top on both meters, at the same time. This could give you 20 free spins and a 5x multiplier for all wins. In this mode, you can get 1 extra free spin for each Shield scatter landing on the 3rd reel.
One thing to keep in mind here, is that your bets will be associated with whatever progress you’ve made. If you change the bet, you start over from scratch at another bet level. However, when you return to the previous bet level, the game remembers where you left off with the meter collection.
It’s a slot with a classic story, involving battles between knights and dragons, in a medieval setting. It’s well-drawn, almost in a comic book style, and it involves a fair number of themed symbols. Those include the Knight and Dragon wilds, Shield scatters, Castles, Thrones, Candles, Horns, and a Mace. There are five lower paying symbols, with the Royals from 10 to A.
Overall, I found it to be a good game, with appropriate graphics and a collection of features that has you working towards a goal worth pursuing.
