Treasure Box Kingdom Slot Machine Review

Treasure Box Kingdom is not a brand new slot game, it actually appears to have been around in land-based casinos for at least one year now. We’re just seeing it being turned into an online slot now, by IGT. Don’t expect much of a design here, but there will be treasures for you to claim, along with the MultiWay Xtra engine and all its chances to win.

You’re looking at a MultiWay Xtra title, which means that the 5x3 reels used are going to give you 243 ways to win. The potential is good, up to 10,000x the stake being paid through the Grand Jackpot, and the RTP that goes up to 96.02% can also be OK. Pyramid scatters, free spins, Coins, and Hold and Respin bonus games, are all available as features.

Treasure Box Kingdom Game Features

First, let’s check out the symbol that’s showing the WILD logo, in blue against a green background. It should be obvious what it will do, and that it will take the role of a replacement, useful only next to regular symbols.

A Symbol Replacement mechanic was also implemented, and it relies on stacks of mystery symbols that are transformed into a regular or wild as the spin begins. While all stacked symbols from that reel will be of the same type, you may get others on the rest of the reels.

Coin symbols, in gold with a blue circle around them, will be used to trigger a special feature when there are at least 5 of them visible. The Coins are turned then, and show a prize between 10 and 750 coins. They’re all collected.

At this point, you’re also getting a Hold and Respin feature, with 3 rounds available initially.

In this mode, there is a Treasure Chest added to the middle of the game area, on reel 3. It collects prizes from the triggering Coins and then it transforms into a Coin which has that value. Additional Treasure Chests could appear as well, and you go through another Collection mechanic.

During respins, you can get a variety of new symbols, with gemstones, coins, treasure chests, + 1 Spin, or an X. Most of these will reset the respins back to 3 when they land.

The X symbol is used as a 2x to 5x multiplier, boosting wins from all Coins landing that round.

+1 Spin symbols do just that, they add 1 extra spin to the total number possible for the respins.

Gemstone symbols of different types will all be collected, and will contribute to certain jackpots. The Grand Jackpot requires 5 Diamonds, the Major Jackpot needs 3 Rubies, a Minor Jackpot is paid in exchange for 2 Sapphires, and a Mini Jackpot needs just 1 yellow gemstone.

It’s a long list already, but it doesn’t stop there. You can also trigger free spins, via 3+ Pyramids landing scattered. Up to 20 free spins are awarded then, and you’re guaranteed to win every single time those reels spin. You retrigger the feature in the same manner, with 10-20 extra spins.

Mystery symbols only turn into premium symbols here, and into the same one, regardless of the reel.

Theme & Design

Treasure Box Kingdom has a mix between the classics and the Ancient Egypt themes. Both are some of the most common that you will see in old and modern slots alike, so don’t expect anything unique inside. Still, it’s not a bad design we’re seeing, even with that classic look it’s sporting.

Symbols being used are going to range from a variety of Egyptian icons of lower value, 9 of them that include an urn, Ankh, flowers, rabbits, hawks, or cats, among others. The top symbols are two Sevens, one in Purple and the other in Red.

Conclusion

Treasure Box Kingdom’s features are the ones that help sell it, and the top prize is good enough to be worth going after. The classic Ancient Egypt theme is not one that I’d be excited about though.
