Endorphina has just come out with a new slot machine, Chance Machine 20, a smaller version of a game that they’ve also released with 100 paylines. Obviously, there are only 20 of those lines in this one, and the game remains a classic title otherwise, with one interesting feature, which doesn’t quite manage to impress on most counts.
Chance Machine 20 has 5 reels and 20 active lines, using them to potentially deliver top wins of up to 3,000x the stake ($600,000). When it comes to the slot’s big features, you have the expanding wild, along with two scatters, but that’s pretty much it. Long-term, the developer expects the game to have a 96% RTP.
While most slot machines from Endorphina will have the possibility to change the number of lines, here there are 20 fixed ones on which you can place bets. You only change the coin value, between $0.01 and $10, and that results in a total bet between $0.20 and $200.
The part that will likely get you excited, is the slot’s potential, even without multipliers to get involved. With only 20 active lines, the game can deliver wins of up to 3,000x the stake, using its Lucky 7 icons to form combinations which pay up to 150x the stake on each line that ends up fully covered.
96% is the expected RTP, and it’s a setting that is typical for Endorphina’s releases.
Chance Machine 20 comes up with a fairly small list of features, but that’s not completely surprising, given that there is a classic heritage there, and it’s not likely that they would ignore it. There are two feature symbols, same as in most slots, but they’re not going to be impressive.
First, we have a scatter symbol, the Diamond Star which lands on three reels, being used to trigger a prize worth 20x the sake when it’s showing on all of them. No other features will come of it, just a small prize.
A second scatter is present as well, the Fire Star, which you get on up to five reels, and it gets you paid when landing on at least three. Once again, no feature is triggered here.
The feature symbol which appears to have a much bigger impact, is the expanding wild. Showing the image of a Crown, it is a symbol that you get on the reels 2, 3 and 4. When it lands there, it has the ability to expand vertically, and to cover the full reel. This happens only if the wild can help out with the formation of some new win. Of course, wilds are replacements for all other types of symbols, provided that they can form regular combinations (does not apply to Scatters).
Chance Machine 20 follows the same line and general graphics style as what we’ve seen in the 100 lines version. It’s a classic theme, relying on symbols that have seen heavy use in slot machines over the years. The Crown is the main feature symbol, as the expanding wild, with the Diamond and Fire Star Scatters also showing up on the reels. Among the regular symbols, I’d pay attention to the Lucky 7, since the jackpot comes from its combinations. The others show us Golden Bells, Four-Leaf Clovers, Bar and the four card suits.
Chance Machine 20 doesn’t target players that are into complex slot machines, on the contrary. Still, despite of its relatively simple nature, the game has good potential, and I find a 3,000x jackpot to be a good enough motivator, especially since the RTP is at the right level.
