It’s been 5 years since the first slot machine was released, and it appears that ELK Studios is currently working on the second title as well. We’re talking about Wild Toro 2, a game that’s going to involve a similar bullfighting theme as the previous release. Great graphics, loads of interesting features, these are the norm in most slot machines we’ve seen from ELK Studios over the years.
Wild Toro 2 has 5x5 reels initially, with 259 connecting paylines. It can then expand up to 5x8 reels and 502 lines, as you get Matadors on the screen. The volatility is likely going to be high, but with good rewards, of up to 10,000x the stake. They clearly could’ve done even better, but they chose to use a 95% RTP. Moving on to major features, that’s a list that includes both regular and walking wilds, along with multipliers, Expanding Matador Respins, and a Toro Goes Berserk bonus.
In a slot machine from ELK Studios, the betting system is always the same. They have 100 coins in the bet, and the total value they have is between $0.20 and $100 per spin (up to $1 coins possible).
It’s one of those slot machines that can make its players millionaires. A $1,000,000 top jackpot is mentioned, but it’s something that can be won only by those using the maximum bet of $100. That would be a maximum return of 10,000x the stake.
Expect a game with high volatility, and a 95% RTP.
There are a couple of wilds here, including a regular version, a couple of walking wilds (Silver Matador and Toro), and the walking wild that has an increasing multiplier (Golden Matador).
Whenever you get one of the Matador symbols to appear, the game will trigger a respin feature, called Expanding Matador. Each symbol adds 1 extra row of symbols, giving the number of connected lines a boost. At most, you can get 5x8 reels and 502 lines. Since these are walking wilds, they move towards the left, one respin at a time until they leave the game area. The multiplier version also boosts its own wins by 1x.
A simpler walking wild, Toro doesn’t expand the game area, but it will trigger respins as well.
Get Toro and a Matador in view at the same time, to trigger a bonus called Toro Goes Berserk. The bull attacks the Matador and leaves wild symbols behind it. If Toro is the winner against the Golden Matador, it claims the multiplier ability.
It’s a good-looking game, which borrows quite a bit visually from the original Wild Toro. It looks good though, and its symbols range from the common four top Royals (J-A) to images of silver and gold coins, oranges, flowers, and the collection of wilds (Matadors, Toro, etc).
Wild Toro 2 is actually a pretty good slot game and a good sequel for an already popular game. It does have one issue though, and that would be the decreased RTP level, now at 95% (compared with the 96% of the older ELK releases).
