After having dealt with Queens of jungles, Atlantis, gold, castles, riches and so on, it’s time that game developers give us a Queen of Embers next, and 1X2gaming was the one to design it. Leaving the boring theme aside, I think there are some good things to note about this game, and I’d especially mention its potential and payouts there. It’s included in the 1x2 Classics series, and while it’s not going to invent any new mechanics for you, the ones that are used do provide plenty of excitement.
You’re going to find it a 5x3 reels new slot game, with 243 ways to win that can be used. Rewards of 7,500x the stake are the ultimate target here, in a slot with high volatility and a 96.02% RTP. Part of the fun will be getting its scatter symbols, stacked wilds or free spins to trigger, as they can have a major impact on a round’s profitability.
Starting up the game is quite easy, you just need to pick your wager, and the total amount is the only one that counts here. The range for it is between $0.20 and $30.
Rewards of 7,500x the stake are being promised, but that kind of potential reward will not come easily, and it’s likely to be hit only by a couple of players over the game’s entire life. Up to $225,000 could be paid that way, if the player had the maximum bet in place at the time.
With big rewards, come the major risks as well, and the volatility in Queen of Embers is considered to be high. RTP wise, it’s pretty much as average as it gets, with a 96.02% announced in its case.
To form your winning combinations, you need 3+ matching symbols on consecutive reels, from left to right. The exact position on the reels is not important, since all potential lines are used through the ways to win system.
One of the major features included in the game, its stacked Tiger wilds may be used both in the base game and for the free spins, being a lot easier to get for the latter. Either way, these will be substitute symbols, and they will be present on the last four reels. This means that they’re not allowed to create combinations by themselves, they are only replacements.
If the Queen of Embers scatters land on 3, 4 or 5 reels, they will trigger for you 8, 12 or 16 free spins, respectively. In this mode, you will find that you get 65 to 75 stacked wilds on the reels, making it much more likely for this feature to be of use to you. You can retrigger the feature, with 4 to 8 more rounds, but you don’t get additional wilds.
As this is a game which is in the developer’s Classics series, the relatively common features are not unexpected, and in fact there is quite a bit different here compared with many other slots, which is a pleasant surprise.
It’s a game which appears to mix the Queen personality with the Volcano theme, and from this results a game with a lot of fire included in all its symbols and background graphics. The Queen of Embers is the scatter, while a Fire Tiger is your wild. For the regular symbols, the game’s options range from Wolves, to Erupting Volcanoes, Crystals, Flames, Eye of Tiger, or Royals between 9 and A. Not a bad design, just not a terribly interesting one as far as story goes.
Queen of Embers might not feel like the sort of game that will revolutionize the industry, and the reason for that is simple, it never tries to do that. In fact, it’s released by 1X2gaming in their Classics series, and it’s a slot which manages to bring forward a couple of the most common features around, but in a slightly different way. This makes it interesting for those that want games that they’re already familiar with, but are also looking for a big payout. Up to 7,500x the stake is paid, which is one of the game’s big advantages as far as I’m concerned.
A solid game overall, with decent figures in some places, and excellent top payouts, which could prove enjoyable for many of its players.
