Pots of Luck Slot Machine Review

As far as the story goes, Pots of Luck is not exactly going to tell us something we haven’t heard before. The slot relies on typical Irish style graphics, which take into account both the luck that’s considered a given for that country, and the leprechaun story, along with his famous pot of gold. The game we’re seeing here is coming from 1X2gaming.

You’re going to find a standard setup inside, one which involves the use of 5 reels with 20 pay lines. Pots of Luck is able to pay as much as 800x for its best wins, though the developer mentions that rewards as high as 150,000x are possible. With bonus games, free spins, scatters and sticky wilds being part of the offer, it’s not out of the question to get that good of a reward, though for the entire duration of a feature.

Betting and Prizes

Relying on 20 active lines, the game will ask you to place a wager which will cover them all. 20 coins are in use each round, with the total value for them being anywhere from $0.20 to $100. This gives you a coin value of $0.01 to $5, to work with.

Pots of Luck is apparently capable of paying well, but it’s not immediately clear how that is possible. Its regular wins can’t go higher than 800x the stake, even when filling up the reels with jackpot symbols (Gold 7s). Presumably, it can go up to 150,000x, I assume over the course of the entire free spins feature, when sticky wilds are available.

Another clue that tells us to expect relatively low top payouts, is the volatility that’s mentioned by 1X2gaming. They say that it’s a slot with Low volatility, so you get a lot of action from it, but not huge rewards.

Pots of Luck Game Features

A total of three feature symbols are available for you to use, and they are the Wild Gold Bag, the Bonus Clover and the Top Hat Scatter.

The wild symbols come in the form of bags filled with gold coins. These are substitutes, whenever they land on a line which has regular symbols of the same type as well. Wilds are also capable of becoming sticky, so they remain on the reels for several rounds at a time.

A picking bonus game is not that unique of a feature to get these days, but it’s still one more way for the player to get a reward. To get it in Pots of Luck, you need Clover Bonus scatters, appearing 3, 4 or 5 times at the same time, on just as many reels. You get 5 different chances at a prize, in this feature.

As for the feature that most are hoping for, you can trigger 10, 14 or 18 free spins, and all you need is for 3, 4 or 5 Top Hat scatters to be present. At this point, sticky wilds are available as well, so you get them for two rounds at a time, rather than just for the original spin.

Theme & Design

As a theme, it’s not a very original choice on 1X2gaming’s part. That being said, I did enjoy the graphics quality, and it’s not an unpleasant slot to try out. The major symbols are showing pots of gold, top hats, clovers, gold bags, 7s, Stars, while the low positions have Royals.
