Jungle King Slot Machine Review
WGS Technology, or Wager Gaming, is the company behind Jungle King. A slot machine that will take us to Africa’s jungle, and show us its creatures and also at least one of its tribal chiefs, it will also incorporate excellent rewards and some common features, along with a comedy angle when it comes to its design. It has a couple of very good arguments which it makes for itself, but there are also some serious downsides, and we will talk about all of these below.
Jungle King has 5x3 reels and gets 25 active paylines. The top jackpot is an impressive 7,500x the stake, to which a wild symbol with a 2x multiplier contributes. Other features include a scatter symbol and a bonus game that it triggers. The part that has me most worried, is the very low RTP of the game, which is at just 93.24%.
Betting and Prizes
You get the option of a very small wager, of just $0.01 per line, but there is also the possibility of spending $10 on each line. As the number of lines goes from 1 to 25, the bets allowed here are between $0.01 and $250.
If we’re looking at the rewards that the regular symbols can pay on their own, up to 3,750x the stake is available by filling those reels with top-paying Tigers. The amount is improved if the Big Chief wild lands on the reels and manages to contribute to all wins, as it doubles the value of prizes, all the way up to 7,500x the stake. Keep in mind, that it may very well be the case, that the developer placed a cap on the top jackpot, there is no mention of that.
Finally, there is at least one part that I’m not happy with here, and that’s the very low RTP that I’ve seen mentioned for this game. At only 93.24%, it’s way below the average, and as modern slots tend to be at about 96%, I’d say that this huge downside is enough to keep players away.
Jungle King Game Features
One of the two feature symbols shown here will have the image of the Big Chief. It’s the chief of an African tribe, which shows up on the 1st and 5th reels. Relied upon to act as a replacement symbol, the wild doesn’t replace the scatter, but it contributes to any regular win. At that point, it multiplies the win of that line by 2x.
Access to the bonus game is obtained via the Big Chief Wild, if it shows up on both the 1st and 5th reels, in the same spin. You make picks, in an area with 9 Jungle squares. Once you match three prize symbols, you get that reward.
Second, there is also an icon that’s showing us the Jungle. This is a scatter, which pays 1x to 200x the round’s stake when landing 2 to 5 times.
Theme & Design
It’s a jungle-themed game, which has a cartoon-style design and a bit of a humorous side to it. You get a tribal chief with a big belly, and an image of the jungle, while the top paying symbol is a Tiger. Other symbols range from monkeys to flowers, butterflies, and six very simple Royals. It’s looking more like a caricature than a serious game, but that can be a plus for it.
Conclusion
Jungle King has its pros, and usually, I’d say that it’s worth looking into, but I can’t get excited about its very low RTP.
