Black Magic Slot Machine Review
Available via WGS Technology, Black Magic is a type of game that does well for Halloween, though just as easily you can play it all year long if you enjoy the scary genre. It’s got mostly average graphics, but the effort was put in, and the game’s payouts will allow plenty of players to overlook some of the slot’s shortcomings.
They designed it as a 5-reel slot machine, which gets 25 active lines. The rewards are excellent, up to 6,000x being potentially available with the right symbols. From the Witch Wild to a scattered Moon, or the Black Magic bonus, the features involved will try to make the action interesting, though they do so with options that every other slot seems to have.
Betting and Prizes
As you get the option to change the number of lines as well, not just the amount going to each one, the full range of the real money slot is between $0.01 and $125. It’s cheap to get the reels spinning, and see how the game works and feels. At most, you can spend $5 on each line.
I like the game’s potential, especially for the combinations that the wild symbols can form on their own. Up to 6,000 coins are paid by each line where this happens, with a 6,000x the stake jackpot being on the line ultimately. Whether the developer has placed a lower cap on the game’s winnings, it’s not clear right now, but the potential is there at least.
Black Magic Game Features
The downside with the features of Black Magic is that there is nothing here that will give the player something unexpected. The wild symbols are there, as scatter and bonus games, but not in a form that is different from what others are using.
First, let’s check out Witch Wild, which is showing us the image of a young woman with purple and green hair. Its main role, and how it will be used usually, is as a substitute for other types of symbols if it can help with the formation of a combo (doesn’t replace the Moon scatter). An alternative comes from the wild’s combinations, where 1 to 5 symbols of this type will pay 2 to 6,000 coins if they are aligned left to right on the same line.
The other feature comes from the Moon scatter, which can show up anywhere in view, giving you rewards of 2x to 100x the stake, for 2 to 5 symbols. Should at least 3 Moons appear, there is also a bonus game that triggers. 6 crystals are displayed, and you make picks and get rewards from each one.
Theme & Design
Black Magic is going to bring in a witch as its main character, and though she looks more like a Goth chick, the presence of skulls, bats and the Full Moon will help sell the idea better. For the major symbols of Black Magic, we discover the Witch, Moon, Crystal Pendant, Skull, Owl, Snake, and six red Royals, whose design seems to suggest a connection to the horror genre. It’s not a very modern design, but it’s not ugly either, and it looks like the developer put in some effort at least.
Conclusion
Black Magic is a game with good potential and a theme that’s fit for Halloween, but otherwise, we’re looking at an average design and a common mix of features.
