With a superhero influence, but also with a fruit theme that’s heavily reliant on comic book style graphics, Infinity Hero is definitely not your typical slot game where graphics are concerned, but it works. This new Wazdan creation is a game with big payouts to be had, along with all the usual bells and whistles that tend to accompany their productions, most notably being the ability to set up the volatility rating.
Designed with 6x3 reels, this game gives you 20 lines, so the chances to get paid are about as many as in other new slots. Wins of up to 13,000x the stake are mentioned, so there is awesome potential here, in a game that allows for its volatility rating to be modified along the way. All this, and the RTP is at a comfortable 96.24%. If you care more about features, then you should know about the game’s wilds, scatters, or the free spins with an infinite multiplier.
20 active lines will require the use of 20 coins, and so the minimum bet allowed will be valued at $0.20 ($0.01 per line). You may take this one up, even up to $100 per spin, which would mean that you have a line bet of $5 then.
As for the payouts involved, the slot’s limit is set to 13,000x the round’s stake, impressive for any game, even these days. If you were to look at the game’s regular combinations, you’d get at most 50x the stake per line, and up to 1,000x for a screen filled with wilds. However, once you take the infinite multiplier into consideration, that 13,000x jackpot makes sense.
The volatility is set by the player in Wazdan’s releases. The options are for Low, Standard, or High volatility, and the game changes to increase the risk involved and the chances of wins coming your way, as a result.
96.24% is the Return to Player (RTP) figure that’s announced for Infinity Hero, and it’s a good one, as good as anything that most competitors will use.
The game offers regular lines to form combinations on, 3 or more required on them, from left to right. Up to 6 symbols are going to appear and form combinations in each case.
Help will come from a regular Wild symbol, a substitute for any regular icon, and also the one to form the game’s best combinations. What this means, is that you’re not likely to get a lot of help from it along the way, because it would also make it more likely for its top-paying combinations to form. Giving the wild symbol the ability to pay the jackpot, tends to make it a rare sight on the reels, and that’s for most games.
Other than that, the one other relevant icon is the one with Infinity Hero, the main character. It’s a scatter, and one that is needed on 3 to 6 reels at the same time, so that it can trigger 10 free spins.
The free spins have an infinite multiplier, which means that there is no upper limit for it. Every single winning combination formed, will boost the multiplier by 1x. To retrigger the free spins, you need the symbols with 3FS, 5FS or 7FS to appear, and they will give you 3 to 7 additional rounds.
It’s part classic fruit theme, part superhero, and it’s all designed in a comic book style that’s bordering on caricature, at least where the main character is involved. It looks like fun though, and that’s all that matters. It’s not easy making a fruit theme look fun, but Infinity Hero succeeds.
As symbols, they have the Hero Scatter, the Bomb Wild, Lucky 7s, Watermelons, Plums, Pears, Oranges, Lemons, and Cherries.
Overall, Infinity Hero is a decent new addition to Wazdan’s collection. From the big top jackpot of 13,000x the stake to the ability to set the volatility for yourself, or the infinite multiplier of the free spins, I have quite a few pros to add next to its name.
On the side of the cons, I’d mention the fruit-themed regular symbols, along with the difficulty in actually getting the features to trigger.
Overall though, it’s a game that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you try for yourself, maybe switching volatility settings at times, to see how the experience changes.
