Tom Horn’s most recent slot machine is called Sherlock A Scandal in Bohemia, being inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s short story with the same name. Once again, Sherlock Holmes returns, and with the help of Dr Watson he fights to save King of Bohemia’s reputation by locating a compromising photograph.
The game that’s been designed by Tom Horn here gets 5 reels with 3 symbols for each column, along with a total of 25 fixed pay lines. The slot will deliver some exciting features, including here two different bonus games, scatters and free spins.
Betting and Prizes
A bet that’s selected for Sherlock A Scandal in Bohemia is going to be required to cover 25 lines, and as you will notice in the bottom left corner, there is no way for you to change that. The only option that can be used by the player is to modify the amount which goes to each line, the coin value if you will. $0.25 is the most likely minimum bet which can be selected, with medium to high options being offered as well.
While we don’t know the payouts of the game yet, the average Tom Horn release does very well RTP wise, usually above 96% and in some cases even at 97%, so there are reasons to be optimistic here. Several good features, bonus games and free spins, have been implemented for it and should take the payouts up a notch as well.
Sherlock a Scandal in Bohemia Slot Features
The big focus of the game’s features appears to be on the scatter symbols, not on wilds as it would happen in most cases. Three different scatters were added to the mix, two of which have images of Sherlock and Dr Watson.
For the first feature, we have the Newspaper Bonus, which requires the appearance of three bonus symbols of the same type, with the character which has a mustache. You get an image with the character holding the newspaper open and looking at multiple locations with blank spaces and question marks on them. You make picks here, in order to reveal an amount from each mystery position. For as long as you get those cash prizes, you’re good. Once you reveal the photo, the feature ends.
Second, there will be a bonus game where the aim is to go through a park, without finding a paparazzi. If you do, then the feature is over.
Finally, there is also going to be a feature which will have free spins for you. The third scatter in use, the one with the Padlock, will deliver them. For example, having three Padlock scatters in view will trigger 10 free spins.
That’s it for the scatters, but there is more. Though not as evident, the game will feature wilds as well, the ones with the image of Irene Adler, another big character from the novel. It’s the substitute which manages to improve wins in the long run, as it keeps appearing and helping you create combinations of smaller value on average.
Theme & Design
The theme is taken from a Sherlock Holmes novel, called A Scandal in Bohemia. Sherlock is called to help out the King of Bohemia, by locating a compromising photo. He saves the day eventually, but you get to experience this adventure in Tom Horn’s latest slot machine. The graphics are gorgeous, using a Steampunk style design in plenty of places, with images of Sherlock, Irene Adler, Dr Watson, bags with coins, notebooks and various other icons. Unrelated images with Royals will be included as well.
I think there is a lot to love about Sherlock A Scandal in Bohemia, graphics and feature wise, so I’d recommend the game to anyone.
