One of Swintt’s slot machines, Cocktail Book is the latest attempt at a Book-style release. It’s a good idea since a cocktail recipe book is something we haven’t seen before in this category. The game engine itself is fun for a lot of people, but hopefully, we will see some innovations in the features section as well, not just in its theme.
Cocktail Book delivers only 5 active lines for its 5 reels, and that’s already somewhat unusual for this category (most have 10 lines). Wins of up to 5,500x the stake appear to give it an edge over other Book slots, but the RTP doesn’t go higher than 95.11%. With mixed scatter/wild Cocktail Books, free spins, and lucky symbols, the features should feel familiar to most players.

For its list of features, I suggest you take a look at the Cocktail Book symbol. It’s both wild and scatter, living a double life if you will, and capable of helping out in a couple of ways. To get that help though, you need it to land on an active line in order to act as a substitute or to appear 3 to 5 times in order to get you paid directly and trigger the free spins.
You have your choice, between the Pink and the Orange features.
As you start the Pink free spins, the slot selects a lucky symbol at random, used for the next 8 to 12 rounds (depending on the triggering symbols). It will be able to expand on its reels, covering them completely and making it easier to form winning combinations. Even better, you don’t actually need lucky symbols to be connected here, as long as there are 3+ of the same type on each line.
If you chose the Orange feature instead, there will be 6 to 25 rounds offered (through a coconut picking feature), where you have to expand wilds instead of lucky symbols.
They’re making an effort with the tropical cocktail theme here, but not a major one. You see the palm trees at sunset, in the background image. The Cocktail Book will be the main feature symbol. Otherwise, the selection of symbols is a classic one, so you see images of Sevens, Bells, Bar logos, Watermelons, Grapes, Plums, Oranges, Lemons, and Cherries.
Cocktail Book might not look like much, and the RTP is not a good one, but I appreciated seeing a variation on the very common Book-style features, and the fact that it’s attempting something different.
