Stakelogic seems to be the one ready to deliver the latest slot game in a fairly large collection of fishing-themed games. This is a popular sport, and bass in particular is a favorite target for many anglers based in the United States. Wild Wild Bass hints at a certain focus on wild features, which is a common enough way to make a slot machine’s action more interesting.

Given that game area, and the medium-high volatility it has, I’m not that crazy about a top win of 1,289x the stake (even with the 96.01% RTP that’s mentioned). Still, once you consider the features being used, such as wilds, Big Catch mechanic, Insane Catch spins, or the Bass symbols, I think there is enough inside to make it fun.

I feel like a top jackpot of 1,289x the stake will prove disappointing to a lot of players. Regardless of the RTP (at an adequate level of 96.01%), the fact that I can get such a small amount from a 6-reel slot with up to 5,625 ways to win, feels like I’m being shortchanged.
The Fisherman Wild is present in the game, but the downside is that only the first two reels can get it. It’s not much if you put it that way, but there are additional features triggered thanks to their presence, and so their power is not as limited as it seems initially. Their more basic role is that of a replacement symbol.
If you can get two wild symbols to appear at the same time, you will get into Big Catch, a feature that expands the reels 3-6 by one row. You now have 5,625 ways to win, and this could bring you a lot more rewards. Additionally, any Bass symbols with prizes on them will also be collected.
While in this mode, you can get the Insane Catch symbol on the 6th reel, and this will trigger its feature. 2 to 4 Insane Spins get triggered then. For this mode, the first two reels turn into a single multiplier reel. It will boost wins by 2x to 5x, a random value being awarded each spin for it. At the same time, the last four reels are turned into 20 independent reels of 1 symbol each.
For these spins that follow, you can get on the reels blank positions, Insane Catch icons, or Bass prizes. You collect all Bass prizes of that round, and you multiply their value with the amount shown at the time. If you get more Insane Catch symbols, there are additional spins added.
I wouldn’t expect too much going in, as this is going to be a standard fishing-themed slot machine. They don’t innovate there, and you’re seeing the same symbols as everywhere else when this particular type of story is used.
There are six low-paying symbols, the Royals from 9 to A, each one with a lifesaver around it. We then get the tackle box, a lifesaver, a bobber, a bird, and the fishing rod. Bass symbols bring prizes, the Insane Catch symbol is a feature trigger, and the Fisherman is the wild.
All things considered, Wild Wild Bass could be a fine choice if you’re into fishing. On paper, it looks pretty good, and the only thing bugging me would be its limited top jackpot (RTP looks fine though).
