Combining a more traditional theme with a unique gameplay style, White Buffalo gives the player a Native American style story, but with awesome modern graphics and a Cluster Pays system which will be a lot of fun to try out. Add several excellent features, which we’re going to mention in our review, and this Stakelogic slot is looking better and better.
You will find a game with 6 reels here, but without the usual paylines that you may be expecting. Instead, it uses Cluster Pays to deliver smaller or larger wins, depending on how many symbols are involved and of what type they are. Other big features in this game will include free spins, scatters, wilds or the Shooting Star. All in all, it should be a game which pays well enough, particularly since it has an RTP of 96.04%.
Betting and Prizes
The bets that you’re placing in White Buffalo will be chosen from the Total Bet section, found at the bottom. The typical Stakelogic slot will allow for both the coins and their value to be set, but the lines will be fixed. It’s a Cluster Pays game, so picking lines wouldn’t make sense anyway. The minimum bet which will be possible is $0.10, while the highest one will reach $50.
The biggest rewards which White Buffalo will deliver are the ones coming via symbols which have Buffalo or Native American characters in them. You need a cluster of 9 or more symbols of this type, to get paid, but you will have to land a lot more to get a big payout.
Another element which has been announced is the RTP of White Buffalo, and at 96.04% it doesn’t give you reasons to stay away from the slot, though it doesn’t exactly lure you in either.
White Buffalo Slot Features
First of all, let’s see how the Cluster Pays system works in this game. The game area has 6x5 reels, so you can have 30 symbols visible at any point. You need 9+ Buffalo or Native American icons clustered together, or 10+ symbols if there is any other icon doing this. The good thing is that symbols will appear stacked on the reels, so this makes it easier for clusters to form. The stacked symbols seem to be double-sized for the high paying positions, and four-high for the others.
Whenever you get a win here, by forming a cluster, you can also get a Shooting Star to trigger. It will land on one of the game symbols at random, though it’s going to be one that is next to the winning cluster. It transforms all symbols of that type into winning symbols, increasing the size of the combination.
Wilds will appear, in the form of a frozen W logo, which can then replace all symbols if they’re not acting as triggers for a feature.
You’re also going to discover that there are free spins inside, activated via 3+ scattered Tribal Masks. To retrigger this feature, you need just 2+ of those same symbols.
Theme & Design
It’s a fun looking design, using the Native American approach, but doing it better than a lot of other slots which tried the same in the past. You have a Native American Chief, a White Buffalo, a Tribal Mask, along with drums, gold bars, diamonds and vases, but also with the card suits.
White Buffalo looks like a promising new game from Stakelogic, with high volatility but also capable of delivering decent rewards.
