Part of an impressive collection of classic slot machines from Stakelogic, Sweet64 uses similar mechanics to some of their other releases. A large number of reels are active if the players want to pay for them, along with some extra features that could also be activated in exchange for extra rewards, and all this is available with fruit symbols and plenty of other elements of a retro title.
Sweet64 has 4 to 7 reels that the player activates, forming 16 to 64 active lines on sets of 3 reels at a time. It looks like wins of up to 800x the stake would be possible at this point, but it’s not clearly stated. We do know that there is low to medium volatility, and a fairly low RTP of 95.01%. The only real feature available is something you pay extra for, and it delivers multiplier wilds that improve wins by as much as 5x.
The game lets you select 1 to 4 game areas, and you spend $0.20 to $40 for them. You then have the option to activate the Super Stake option as well, but this doubles the wager, to as much as $80. The Super Stake option is only available when all 4 sets of reels are active.
Stakelogic doesn’t include the top jackpot in the paytable or the slot’s help files, but we can calculate that wins of up to 800x are possible when the top-paying symbols are present on all 64 active lines (12.50x paid on each line).
The low-medium volatility rating is a plus for this game, but the 95.01% RTP is a pretty major downside.
There are a total of 7 reels that you get to play on, and you get to pick which sets of reels are going to be active. You get reels 1-4, 2-5, 3-6, and 4-7 to activate. On each set of reels, there are 16 active lines, but these are part only of 3 of the 4 reels available (reels 1-3 and 2-4 for the first set, and so on). Activate all four sets, and you can use 64 active lines of 3 symbols each, but you pay accordingly.
If the Super Stake mode is on, then the game also adds multiplier wilds of 1x to 5x. These are found on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 7th reels.
There is nothing special or interesting about the choice of theme, inspired by fruits and other classic symbols. The use of 7 reels does make it look different though, even with the dated design that’s in use otherwise. There are symbols in there that range from fruits (oranges, lemons, green apples, plums, raspberries, melons), to the Stakelogic logo, and a Stakelogic Money Bag.
All in all, I think you’re going to find Sweet64 an enjoyable game if you’re into the classics. It’s simple enough, particularly without the Super Stake option, without any major features, and yet quite different from other older free slots.
