Super 4 Timer is one of StakeLogic’s new slots for 2022. They went with a classic game in this particular case, which is not unusual even today, there are plenty of players that prefer this type of simpler approach to a slot’s design. It’s not all good, there are some things that are not going to attract players, such as the RTP, but I’m sure that there will be enough people looking to try it out even so.
You’re seeing sets of 3x3 reels, between 1 and 4 activated in a game area that includes a total of 6 reels. Up to 20 paylines can be active, 5 of them coming from each set. Given the right symbols appearing in all positions, it looks like a top jackpot of 500x the stake is the best that the game can do. Unfortunately, the RTP is only 95%, while volatility is low to medium. Its major features are coming via Double Symbols, Nudges, and Jokers which award mystery wins.
Depending on the number of active lines/sets of reels, and whether the Super Stake option is active, the amount used for each spin can vary considerably. The full range of bets is between $0.20 and $500.
The Super Stake option can be used to increase the odds of getting top combinations and nudges, but it also doubles the amount wagered.
The best-paying combinations in Super 4 Timer will be worth 25x the stake, using the Money Bag symbols for this. With 20 lines in use, this indicates a top jackpot of 500x the stake as being possible.
You’re not taking big risks here, with volatility being low-medium, but the rewards aren’t impressive either. The RTP is another weak point since only 95% is expected to get back to players in the long run (a good figure would be 96% or higher).
The setup has 6 reels in total, but it uses only 3 reels for each game area. A total of four sets of 3 reels can be activated within that area, each one with 5 paylines. You decide how many sets are going to be in play, but the Super Stake can only be used when all four sets are active.
During the Super Stake rounds, you get a chance at triggering Nudges, on certain reels (2, 4, and 6). As a spin ends, nudges can push those reels, resulting in a win. You can get 1 or 2 nudges per spin.
Super 4 Timer also uses something called a Double Symbol. It appears as an overlay symbol of the Moneybag or Joker, which is present next to a regular icon. This is true for fruit symbols only. Prizes from the Moneybag or the Joker will be awarded, when one of them is part of a combo of three fruits, via a double symbol.
Jokers are symbols that bring you wins of up to 25x the stake when they land and form their own combo if Super Stake is on. Otherwise, they pay a mystery prize.
You’re looking at a classic theme and design, despite the fact that Super 4 Timer was released in 2022. Stakelogic wanted a retro design for it, and that’s what we’re getting. The symbols look about as good as those we got back in the 80s or 90s from land-based slots, which may not be fun for everyone.
Speaking of symbols, the images are those of fruits (oranges, plums, pears, lemons, raspberries, melons), Sevens, Crowns, Jokers, and Money Bags.
If you don’t mind the classic design and the fruit theme, Super 4 Timer has quite a bit to offer, even to a modern player. Its features are not typical for a modern slot machine, though we did see something similar in other slots from Stakelogic.
