Runner 6 Runner Slot Review
|Betting Range (€/$)||0.20 - 100|
For a game which borrows so much from the classics, Runner 6 Runner is definitely an unusual option for any player. It shows you more reels than you’d expect, and yet it uses them in the classic manner, with sets of 3 reels found multiple times within the game area. A fruit style theme is built-in, with fairly limited graphics, and yet you find as much to do inside as in a regular modern video slot. Stakelogic managed to create an interesting game here, but it’s not without faults, and I will explore its pros and cons in this review.
Runner 6 Runner has 8 reels in total, and it’s using them to create 6 sets of 3 reels each, in each case giving us 5 active lines which will pay both ways. Wins of up to 2,500 coins appear to be available, using for this a progressive mystery jackpot, as well as regular combinations of symbols. Activate the Super Stake option, and you get access to wilds as well. RTP is low though, at 95%, so that’s one of the bigger cons that I’ve found with the game.
Betting and Prizes
You select the coin value, and it’s going to start from $0.20 and go up from there. You can have up to 6 sets of reels active, each one with its own wager. Bets of up to $100 are a possibility. There is also a Super Stake option which you an activate, in exchange for an extra random feature.
When it comes to rewards, the best combinations available, the ones with the Blue Stars, will pay 40 coins per line, or 200 coins total for a set of 3 reels/5 lines. You might be better off looking for the Mystery Jackpot, a progressive prize that you contribute to, and which is guaranteed to trigger by the time it hits $5,000.
What I didn’t love here, is that the game has a low RTP, only 95%, so the odds of you making a good profit are lower than in other real money slots.
Runner 6 Runner Slot Features
You are playing with up to 8 reels active, marked A to H. Three consecutive reels can form a set with 5 lines, that you form combinations on. You will use reels 1-3, 2-4, 3-5, 4-6, 5-7 and 6-8, for a total of 6 sets of 5 lines each (up to 30 active lines in one spin).
Wilds do exist, and they can be used as replacements, but you need to use the Super Stake option to get them to the reels. Having this option on, gets you wilds on the reels B to G (the middle six reels).
Theme & Design
As unique as its setup is, and it can be interesting because of that alone, the theme is a very standard classic, with fruits and other retro symbols. The quality of the design is even worse, as they seem to have copied the style of games from a few decades ago.
We’re seeing symbols with Stars, Red 7s, Grapes, Watermelons, Strawberries, Bells, Plums, Pears and Oranges. You will find the paytable on the same screen as the game area.
Runner 6 Runner slot looks fairly interesting, and as it gives us new features and mechanics for a very old theme, it could interest those that usually have a taste for retro-style games. That below average Return to Player, of only 95%, is going to be a major downside even for those that love the older designs.
