Flappers is a game that’s coming via Stakelogic, a slot machine which they’ve dedicated to the bold women of the 1920s, adventurous and lovers of jazz music, something that wasn’t exactly common back then, at least not for the masses. The Art Deco movement, the beautiful women and the jazz music, these are all inspirations for the latest slot machine announced by this developer.
They turned Flappers into a 5x3 reels slot machine, which gets 20 paylines active, for every single round. The slot, with medium volatility, pays a reasonable amount, up to 1,798x the stake, or at most $179,800 per spin, with the RTP being set to 95.48%. Otherwise, it’s worth looking into the major features that it uses, such as stacked scatters, free spins and expanding wilds.
$0.20 is the smallest amount that you can wager on a single spin, where 20 lines each get $0.01. The betting range can go up from there, up to $100 per spin, or $5 per line.
A good prize in Flappers will potentially go as high as 1,798x the stake, which may sound like a lot for some, or a small jackpot for others. Ultimately, for a slot machine with medium volatility, it’s actually a decent reward, without going overboard. Should the maximum bet be used, that jackpot could be turned into $179,800 cash.
The part that I think they could’ve done better, is the RTP, which is set to 95.48% typically. Since online casinos have the option to reduce the RTP to 94.47%, I’d recommend you check it first, before you start playing, just to make sure.
Stacked wild symbols, occupying two positions on the reels, will be present in the game and their image will be that of a microphone. Land these wilds where you need them, and they are able to participate in the formation of new combinations. Obviously, the scatters don’t benefit from their presence.
As for the scatter symbol, that’s the one showing you Al Capone. The mobster will also show up stacked and 2-symbols high. You need scatters appearing on 3, 4 or 5 reels, and in exchange the game gives you either 8, 15 or 40 rounds for free. The downside would be that you can’t get the free spins to retrigger, as scatters are removed from the reels for this feature.
Once you get to the free spins, you will find that the top symbols are smaller in size now, occupying a single position (compared with the 3-symbols high stacked icons in the base game). It might sound like a con, but these symbols now gain the ability to expand on their reels, so they can take over the entire game area.
The game picks one to five reels to activate, for each free spin. Land Flapper icons on them, the ones of higher value, and they are transformed into stacked Wild Girl icons, which both substitute and form winning combinations of their own.
You get a 20s inspired design, with the graphics of the Art Deco style in place, while the symbols mostly revolve around the use of beautiful and adventurous women of the time (the flappers, as they were called). In addition to these stacked premium symbols, you will also discover icons with Al Capone, microphones and with the various card suits, designed with gemstones.
You get a decent game in Flappers, a slot machine which will charm you with its theme and graphics, and then it will keep you around with its medium volatility, good payouts and interesting features.
