Spanning several TV series and movies, the Stargate universe has been a popular one for many years. Not so much now perhaps, but the franchise continues to have a lot of fans, myself included. Stargate Megaways is a surprise that Scientific Games is preparing for us, a slot machine that’s branded and which is expected to launch in 2022. A Stargate is going to be used around the game area, and some piece of it is actually used to host a Trail with 9 positions on it, lighting up as you go through cascades. Given the TV show that inspired it and its many fans, I like that Scientific Games paid enough attention to it, and made it into something interesting.
Though generally, I’d say that the design is good, that mostly has to do with the outer area. The first six symbols you see are very basic and colorful Royals (9 to A), while the other five are pyramids, dialing devices, and three of the series characters (only one of which is recognizable). The pendant with the Eye of Ra will be the wild.
Stargate Megaways looks like a very good game, all things considered. A branded slot machine, not only uses decent graphics (though with room for improvement), but it also pays impressive top jackpots, can have a good RTP, and the features are not common.
