Just a few short months after seeing the first game of the series come out, Dancing Drums Prosperity is already announced, and we’re expecting to see it in early 2022. With the right wager size, a return of up to 11,973x the stake would be turned into a prize worth $250,000. It’s the amount they decided to place the cap at, and it’s a good one even if the volatility ends up being on the high side.
Where Dancing Drums Prosperity doesn’t do a great job, is in the delivery of a decent RTP to go along with the payouts. The returns are at only 94.05%, and that kind of RTP is considered very low for an online slot.
While playing Dancing Drums Prosperity, you will sometimes find that the reels expand to a larger size. It’s a random event during paid spins, and the most you can get is 5x6 reels with 7,776 ways to win.
During the slot’s regular spins, a random prize may be awarded to the player, using a Red Envelope. For smaller wagers, using 22 to 62 credits, prizes are worth 888 credits. For higher bets, the prize is worth 3,888 credits.
Fu Bat Wilds may land on reels 2-4, at any point during the regular or free spins. It’s to be used as a substitute for all types of symbols.
The appearance of a Fu Bat Wild may result in a jackpot being paid, at random. It will take you to a feature, where you pick from the 12 coins shown until you find 3 of the same type. You then win one of the four fixed jackpots, ranging from Mini to Grand. There is even a chance to get a Bonus Pick out of it, with a second jackpot paid after 3 more matching babies are found.
There are two types of scatters, both showing Drums, but one coming in a gold version (only on the 3rd reel). You can mix these two types, as long as you get 3 or more scatters to appear on adjacent reels, left to right. If only regular Drums contribute, then you get the standard free spins. Dancing Drums Prosperity comes up with the typical Chinese theme, which we’ve found in so many slot machines already. Given that they cater to a certain type of audience, the symbols often show the same things, and the look incorporates a lot of gold and dark red colors.
Among those symbols, we find the initial six low-value Royals, with average graphics at best. We then get to themed symbols with gold coins, gold ingots, golden money trees, sailing ships, lion statues, and drum/gold drum symbols. Fu Baby Wilds top off that list.
All in all, I found Dancing Drums Prosperity to be a good game for its category, but it has a major flaw as well. Unless they’re also offering a version for it that has a higher RTP, the 94.05% version that we’ve tested is not good enough for a modern player.
