Judges Rule The Show! Slot Machine

A release programmed for a June 2018 launch, Judges Rule The Show appears to be a talent competition themed slot machine, one that is offered by Red Rake Gaming. The TV show theme is complemented with classic icons, so it’s not entirely a modern design.

You will spin 5 reels in Judges Rule The Show, all the while getting a total of 30 active lines. Individual wins may get to values as high as $1,500, plus you also get features that include the wild, bonus symbols, free spins and respins with sticky wilds.

Betting and Prizes

For a game that relies on 30 fixed lines, the betting system is not exactly a surprise. You have to start from a $0.30 minimum, which allows the game to distribute $0.01 wagers to each line. The range is big enough to allow for up to $5 line bets though, or up to $150 total.

Should you select the maximum bet, the best possible combo that you will land in this game will pay $1,500. Naturally, you may form multiple winning combinations at the same time, and you get sticky wilds during some features, so the maximum payout of a round can be considerably higher. It should be noted that the RTP of the slot is 95.3%.

Judges Rule The Show Slot Features

The button that the judge pushes, either to eliminate a contestant or to turn around (depends on the TV show), is shown colored in pink and with the WILD logo at its bottom. You have this one to use as a substitute during most rounds, but there is also the possibility of including it in a winning combination with other wilds. You could get paid $1,500 at most, with five wilds arranged on one of the lines.

The Bonus Microphone symbol will be your regular scatter, the one you see only on the three middle columns in this game. Have all three land during a round, to get 10 free spins triggered. As you play through these spins, you can get a special feature called Judges Rule The Show, where judges get transformed into sticky wilds.

The base game will benefit from another feature, called Sticky Wilds Respin. You need a Special Judge icon on the 3rd reel, and when that happens you receive a respin. If that same Special Judge appears again during the respin, the feature will continue, and the symbol will be turned into a sticky wild. When you no longer get new Judge icons of that type, the respin feature will end.

Theme & Design

The aim in this game is to show off a singing competition for the player, and the judges appear to be the stars, rather than the contestants. It might just be based on a TV show like The Voice, or one of the many others that put talent in front of an audience, but it’s never mentioned and more likely it’s only built around the idea of it. Four different judges are shown as some of the important symbols available in the game, with other symbols providing us with buttons that they have to push, with microphones, diamond 7s and three Bar logos in yellow, pink and blue.

All in all, a design that I enjoyed, and the judges are very well designed, but I’m not sure what those classic icons have to do with the theme.

Conclusion

Judges Rule The Show will be a decent game to play, and if you love these sort of talent competitions then you have an extra reason to give it a shot.
