Naughty Nicks Book Slot Machine Review

Naughty Nick's Book is a different type of Christmas-themed slot machine. Rather than a present, we’re getting a drunk guy that’s dressed as Santa, with his fake beard pulled down and his beer belly partially exposed. Not ideal for a real situation, but in a slot machine that can be a hilarious premise. This is Play n GO’s contribution to the Christmas category in 2022.

5x3 reels are there for you at the beginning, and they have 10 active lines. With the free spins giving you both a 6th reel and special expanding symbols, it’s somewhat different from other Book slots. You can get a prize of up to 7,500x the stake here, but you should also expect high volatility (9/10), even if the RTP is at the max setting of 96.28%.

Betting and Prizes

Since it allows you to play around with the bet settings, you can spend as little as $0.01 per spin (with 1 line active), or $0.10 if all of them are used. The maximum bet, with the number of coins and their denomination maxed out, is $100.

A 7,500x the bet top prize is not unheard of, especially in a Book slot, but it does look above average for this sort of game. It’s still highly volatile, and the RTP is in a range, with the best value possible at 96.28%.

Naughty Nick's Book Game Features

This being a Christmas-themed version of a Book slot, we’re going to find all the usual features present. The Book is there, used as both the wild and the scatter. You might get its help when forming a new combo, but the odds of getting these symbols are fairly low.

With 3+ Book symbols anywhere in view, the game gives you 8 free spins. There are now 6 reels instead of 5, so you can get bigger combinations with improved prizes (the top symbol pays up to 750x now, vs 500x during regular spins).

There is also that special expanding symbol, which the game picks at random when the feature starts. The regular symbol chosen will expand on all the reels where it is present if it lands on 3 or more. It forms combinations on all lines then, even if the symbols are not adjacent.

Theme & Design

It’s a funny-looking Santa-themed slot, and it’s got a lot of naughty characters as its main characters. It doesn’t look like a traditional Christmas slot, but that’s working in its favor. Santa himself is present, looking like he’s been drinking. The rest are with Rudolph drinking, the Elf licking a champagne bottle, and a Naughty Kid getting a present. Royals complete that list.

Conclusion

Overall, I think it’s a great effort from Play n GO, and one of the must-play slot machines this holiday season. It helps if you’re already a fan of the Book genre, obviously.
