Don’t expect for a slot with 3 reels to offer too many features, but Hugo Goal does things differently and has some cool things to show off on those reels.
One of those features is the Action Replay. You can get it to trigger during spins without wins in them, but with two full stacks of similar symbols appearing on the reels. You would be missing any winning symbols on the third reel at that point, so you can’t get paid. Hugo does count when appearing on an entire reel though, with another symbol stacked on another one. The third reel, which doesn’t have any symbols that you need, will start re-spinning until you get a win from that round.
Free Kick is another feature that you may get, and once again it’s only going to trigger during non-winning rounds. It needs two stacks of matching symbols on two reels, with a third reel to re-spin a single time, so that you can get another chance at a win.
The best feature of the slot appears to be Penalty Shoot-Out, which needs you to fill the reels with the same icon. When that happens, and you get five winning combinations, the bonus game will let you get up to 10x multipliers to use on those rewards. There are penalty kicks involved, and Hugo is going to be the one to try and keep them out of the net.
The Hugo theme is the one that involves a cute little troll, a crocodile (Don Croco), a Goat and Afskylia, so some of the characters from previous slots have been kept. It’s a high-end design no matter with what slot you compare it to, which is great for a classic 3-reel title. The other symbols are also related, featuring flags, timers, whistles, footballs and shoes.
