NetEnt has just come out with their own version of a medieval themed slot machine, and as usual we get high-end graphics and excellent features out of it, with a good RTP to boot. The game’s name is Fire Siege Fortress.
In the case of Fire Siege Fortress, we’re being given 5 reels, with 3 or 4 symbols, depending on the column involved. The game delivers 576 ways to win in this game area, and each one is capable of paying as much as $1,200 when combinations are formed. Among the features which were implemented, I’d like to mention the Fire Siege Free Spins which come via scatters, but also the Fire Free Spins or the Tower Coin Wins, or the wild symbols which should come in handy all the time.
Betting and Prizes
You will use a betting system which relies on 20 paylines, for which you get to decide the level of the bet and the coin value. The former goes from 1 to 10, allowing for up to 10 coins to be used per line. The latter will allow for a coin value of $0.01 to $1 to be used. In the end, the betting range available here will range from $0.20 to $200.
Once again, NetEnt isn’t giving us the type of game that would pay a huge amount. It’s a reward of up to 120x, or $1,200 at best, which you can get on multiple ways to win at a time if you’re lucky.
The 96.01% RTP is just high enough to make the game attractive, the kind of figure that is expected of any modern slot these days.
Fire Siege Fortress Slot Features
Quite a few features have been used in the game, some regulars like the wilds, others a bit more interesting, but all of them with potential to be profitable.
Among the more boring features, expect to find the wild symbols, which are used as replacements for regular icons.
The Fire Siege Free Spins should be interesting as well. You can have 9 to 18 free spins from them, with scatters appearing at the top of the reel giving 6 rounds, while the other positions deliver 3 rounds each. You get scatters on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. You can’t re-trigger these free spins again.
Get two scatters on the three reels which can have them, to activate either a Tower Coin Win (5x the bet) or Fire Free Spins (3 rounds).
The Wild Windows are the three variants of a wild feature which can be triggered in the game. You can get a Trebuchet Assault, the Dragon’s Breath or an Archer Attack. These trigger via wilds which appear in the bottom positions of one of the middle three reels. You get from them either Giant Wilds, Expanding Wilds or Random Wilds.
Theme & Design
It’s your typical Medieval themed slot machine, with the action revolving around knights and fire breathing dragons. An element of fantasy is obviously present as well, but for the most part your symbols will revolve around the knights, weapons (swords, axes, hammers) and various flags with Royal logos on them. The quality of the design is high, something that I expect to see in every NetEnt slot that’s being released.
Fire Siege Fortress has a lot of things going for it, and the graphics, RTP and features should be the ones that are always mentioned here. As a downside, the usual NetEnt style of giving the player small top payouts makes the slot look less interesting.
