Roman Power Slot
Play 🎰 Roman Power Slot for Real Money
Yet another Microgaming exclusive has been announced, and in this case we’re looking at Roman Power, a slot machine which is designed by Spin Play Games. It’s their first title, and they were not overly ambitious with it, but it ends up being a game with high volatility and decent top rewards, along with an Ancient Rome theme that was well designed.
Roman Power has 5 reels, with 20 active lines. Get those winning combinations to form, apply random Power multipliers via Hero Wilds, and in theory you could walk away with payouts of 4,000x the stake. The game’s high volatility is something that players need to be aware of, but at the same time the good news is that the RTP is decent, at 96.18%.
Betting and Prizes
You pick the total bet, and the range for it is going to start from a minimum of just $0.20, and then end up at a maximum value of $50. This should give players the option to use up to $2.50 per line, if they go for the highest bet.
Rewards are decent, considering that this is a high volatility slot machine, and those jackpots will not come easily. While the game has rewards of up to 400x if you look only at the wilds forming their combinations, there is also a chance that Power Multipliers will boost those wins by up to 10x, and that’s the way to get as much as 4,000x the stake payout wise.
RTP is set to 96.18%, which is quite OK, and the volatility is high. In fact, only 1 in about 7 spins will be a winner on average, which is quite low, and plenty of players might get bored with the action.
Roman Power Slot Features
The game’s features are not very interesting, at least not if you want a lot of variety in such slots. The only feature symbol available is the Hero Wild, an expanding symbol that you can get to either substitute and help other wins, or it can form its own and pay the biggest prize of up to 20x the stake on each line where this happens.
Have at least one Hero Wild on the reels, and there is a chance that a random feature called Power Multipliers will also kick in. If it does, then it will choose a random value for a multiplier, between 2x and 10x, to apply to the wins of the round. It’s a big part of the game’s ultimate potential, since otherwise the slot offers at most 400x the stake on its own.
On the other hand, I appreciated the presence of those expanding wilds, since their own wins will form on all lines at the same time. You either get 20 winning combinations with only wilds in them, or none.
Theme & Design
The theme of choice for Roman Power is obviously the military of Ancient Rome, the famous legions that allowed the city to become an empire over the centuries. We’re seeing the Hero Wild as the main symbol here, with additional symbols including images of helmets, armor, shields, bracers and swords. Lastly, we get to the lower value Royals as well. A pretty good design overall, modern in terms of quality and style, but not unique to this game.
Roman Power gives us fairly simple action, along with high volatility and adequate rewards for the amount of risk involved. The short list of features, along with a hit rate of only 15.69%, will make this slot a bit boring in the long run, unfortunately.
