The Olympic Games, in their original Ancient Greek version, are at the center of this slot’s action. Coming via Microgaming, and designed by Just For The Win, Immortal Glory gives us very good top payouts, as you’re about to find out, though it’s going to be a bit on the stingy side most of the time. Overall though, a game worth looking into, with excellent graphics and some interesting action.
Immortal Glory was designed with 5x4 reels, where it gets a total of 40 paylines every single round. It has big top jackpots, of up to 10,000x the stake, but that’s only during certain features, and the rest of the time it offers little via its regular wins. Whether it’s stacked Torch wilds, the bonus symbol and the bonus game with jackpots that it triggers, or the free spins with nudging stacked wilds, the Glory Spins and their multipliers, the list of features is quite long, and it does have the potential to make things fun at times.
Betting and Prizes
You’re able to select a wager, to be used for the upcoming round, and the range given for it is between $0.10 and $25. The game’s 40 lines will all be active in this mode.
As for the payouts that you can land inside, up to 10,000x the stake is promised via one of its features, a bonus game which delivers fixed jackpots. However, the regular wins of the game are much less impressive, paying up to 200x the stake per spin in the base game, and as much as 2,000x for a Glory Spin when it reaches its highest potential.
Overall, the game will have very high volatility, and quite the low hit frequency (only 21.6%), so it will punish more than it will reward. That’s the fault of the math though, not the RTP, since long-term it’s expected to offer back 96.19%.
Immortal Glory Slot Features
The wild symbols appear in stacked versions on all reels, and they can form their own combinations, where they offer 5x the stake at most per line. Naturally, these are also used as substitutes.
In order to trigger the free spins, you use the same stacked wilds, by getting them to show up on the 1st reel, alongside another one. Two wilds is all it takes, provided that one of them is on that first column, and in exchange you get 5 rounds with stacked wilds that move down by one position each round.
The Glory Spin can trigger if, at the end of the free spins, you have a minimum of one stacked wild partially visible. If it’s fully visible, then you get nothing. The partial ones are nudged into position though, and then you get a Glory Spin where a multiplier of up to 10x can be used on its wins.
For the big prize, you need the bonus symbols landing three times in view. The upcoming feature pays one of the three fixed jackpots, though only the top one is worth the attention, at 10,000x the stake.
Theme & Design
JFTW did an excellent job with the graphics of Immortal Glory, giving the player a good mix of Ancient Greek inspired graphics and competitors in the early version of the Olympic Games. There are three competitors there, throwing discs, running and shot putting, while landing stacked on the reels. The other symbols give us corresponding icons (sandals, shot puts, discuses), along with a wreath, and the flaming torches for the wilds.
Immortal Glory slot will do a good job giving players a big target to go after, but the road to riches will be a tough one for most players, as the game has very high volatility.
